How do I fix code 13 engine speed sensor Above 1000 rpm

Clearing the codes is simple that is done by removing the fuse of the EFI from junction box 2 for 10 seconds. Make sure to remove the jumper wire and switch the key off before clearing the codes.

Here are some common Lexus vehicles 1990-1995 codes:

Code 12 and Code 13 Rpm signal circuit fault
Code 14 Igniter signal circuit fault
Code 16 ECT control signal fault
Code 21 and Code 28 Main oxygen sensor fault (for ES300; SC300 & GS300 models)
Code 22 Coolant temperature circuit fault
Code 24 Intake temperature sensor circuit fault
Code 25 and Code 26 Air fuel ratio fault (for ES300 & SC300 models)
Code 27 Sub-oxygen sensor circuit fault (for ES300 CA & GS300 models)
Code 31 Low airflow meter voltage (for ES300 and GS300 models)
Code 32 High airflow meter voltage (for ES300 model)
Code 35 Barometric pressure sensor circuit fault (for GS300 & SC300 models)
Code 41 and Code 47 Throttle position sensor circuit fault
Code 42 Vehicle speed sensor circuit fault
Code 43 Starter signal

90 104 on bmw x5 4.4i sport

90 is an 'Intermittent System Down' code, meaning the system isn't always staying online.

104 should be a right-rear (passenger) wheel speed sensor failure. If a sensor fails the system shuts itself down, so this is likely what's causing the first code.

How did you test your ABS sensors? They normally should be checked for resistance to be within specifications and they also need to have the waveform checked on a graphing meter or have one person check the sensor signals with an appropriate scan tool while another person is driving.

Also check the tone ring (notched ring the sensor reads) for broken/missing teeth and check the wheel bearing for play, as both of these can disrupt the readings, even if the sensor itself is good.

Hope this was helpful to you.

Am rebuilding the engine on my Porsche 944s 16v and cannot find details of the Cylinder Head Torque settings.

The torque angle tightening method is now valid for all engines of types 924S, 944, 944S and 944 Turbo including all earlier engines from start of 944 production. When making repairs, the following parts must be used:
Cylinder Head Gaskets
Part Number 944 104 374 14 - 924S, 944, 944S Part Number 951 104 374 01 - 944 Turbo only
Cylinder Head Nuts (12 mm high)
Part Number 999 076 028 02 - all types
Washers
Part Number 944 104 229 00 - all types
Tightening Specifications to Torque Angle Method
Tightening is done in 3 steps:
Step 1: 20 N-m (15 ft. lbs.) Step 2: 90 degrees (114 turn) Step 3: 90 degrees(1/4 turn) Important:
Sequencing must be kept for each step. Threads and bearing surfaces of nuts must be lightly lubricated with oil prior to installation. Washers must not turn while tightening. Create a reference mark if necessary.
Note:
The 12 mm high cylinder head nuts might protrude above the studs slightly on engines produced prior to Feb. 1986. In addition, new head nuts must be used at each repair.

Lack of power

Turbo failure is never normally intermittant so I doubt it is a turbo fault.

The wastegate relys on a signal from the ECU via the MAFS.

Mass Air Flow Sensors are very common to fail on VW TDi and this also fits in with your symptoms.

Kind regards

Lloyd
