Why is creosol building up on glass of Quadrafire 5700 ACT wood stove within hours after starting fire?

It is a by product of combustion. Maybe you need more air to minimize the buildup

My timing belt broke. need spectes for head gasket, if need to use new head bolts. with a new/used head from a wreck car.also need timing marks for t-belt 1.5l

It probably will also need new pistons as the valves bent and broke causing holes in pistons. If you are lucky and just need a used head go here:

Can not get rear passenger door panel off

there should be a screw behind the handle to open the door and a few more behind the wood trim panel. then the panel pops sure not to loose the gaskets that are on the retaining clips.the wood trim pops off too. be careful. the wood is delicate.the shade assy should bolt to the inside of door not interior panel.

Hello, my wife overheated my 04 Durango 4.7 to the max until it shut down on it's got a constant knocking sound but I can't tell what area of motor it's coming from.what could of broke.

Its very possible that one of the head gaskets are blown and leaking coolant into the Combustion chamber causing it to bend the rod or rods ! Also is there coolant in the oil ? One trick to manually find the area is to use a wood handle from a mop or broom and place on different point on the engine with your ear against the handle and note any sound differences ?

Hi, My audi tt 2000 is leaking oil above the oil filter. It is at the top of the silver box like part that the oil filter screws into. It looks like a seal has broke or a gasket has broke. Any help...

The oil filter has a rubber gasket attached to the end that comes in contact with the filter housing on the engine. If the filter was screwed on with a dry gasket, or overtightened, the gasket could be damaged and leaking. It could be the filter is not tightened enough.

Head gasket

Just remember how you took it apart, clean the mating surfaces and when down to metal, wipe with acetone or similar evaporative mineral solution (don't touch the mating surfaces after), install the new gasket and get the torques correct. Make sure you don't slop into the cylinders, have a vacuum and wood pick ready to clean **** out if you do.

How do i take out a rear main seal?

Remove the transmission, after holding the rear of the engine supported, using a jack with a piece of wood between it and the engine. Remove the clutch and pressure plate, and the flywheel or if automatic, the flex plate. The rear main seal retainer will then be exposed. Remove the 2 oil pan to main seal retainer assembly, and the bolts circling the retainer, and slide the retainer assembly unit back off the crankshaft. Remove the old gasket from the retainer, and clean the gasket ridge before installing a new gasket. It's a one piece hard rubber gasket, which must be inserted in the retainer evenly. This can be done on a work bench, or flat wood on a concrete floor, Some light oil might help it seat easier, Once seated slide the retainer containing the new gasket back over the rear of the crankshaft, A rubber hammer will help ease it back into position, Replace all bolts, not forgetting the oil pan to retainer bolts, and reinstall all parts in reverse order of removal. If a manual trans, this would be an excellent time to install a new clutch kit.
