Question about Chevrolet Suburban
Hallo all, I have Chevrolet Suburban 2011 LT, since I bought it as a new SUV with 100 miles on, I have I problem with engine vibration which happens only while idling the engine. I have now 6.000 miles on and about approximately each 7 seconds , sometimes each 15 seconds, I can feel vibration in steering wheel and the seat and it makes very uncomfortable experience to sit in the car while no motion. I took it back to dealer for computer scan which shows that everything is OK and they don't know what to fix. When the car is in motion, it drives nice with no problem, till you stop and get to feel the vibration. DO you have anybody same problem like me ??? Any suggestions what to do and what might be the cause ??? Martin, Prague..Czech Republic..Europe

Could be any one, or more, of the following -
Bad plug wire
Crossed plug wires (hard to tell sometimes on V-8s that run smooth anyway)
Leaky EGR valve
Shifted timing sensor
Scan engine for codes and proceed from there.
There is a product called RXP (available here in Texas) that will clean up an engine and gas. Its pretty awesome stuff, and this coming from a person who doesn't really believe in additives.

if your vehicle isn't a convertible and the newer model (E90) the idle speed should be able to be increased. your vehicle has valvetronic. It doesn't use a throttle valve in the typical manner. there is a motor that changes the valve lift of the intake valve (this system takes the place of how a typical throttle works); if you have an E46 the older style 3 series the idle speed cannot be changed. An easy way to tell if you have an E46 or an E90 is that you have a start-stop button with the E90 and the key is a remote that pushed into the dash.

That mechanic wasn't lying. I currently own three of them and I know a lot of people that own them and they all have a rough idle. The engines are internally balanced and they don't have dampeners, so you get the engine vibration transferred to the car and that is what you are feeling.
