SOURCE: hi,the airbag light on my
hi you can reset your cars ecu/computer and that might stop it, otherwise is the light still pops up you will need to have a diognostics test run on the computer at an auto electrics workshop as a sensor in your vehicle has picked up a fault with 1 of you airbags that will need to be repaired

Last week my 323 89' Mazda stop working as I was driving it in middle of the street, I pushed to the side. it would not start, the starter sounded ok, but the car just didnt start, I checked the fuses, gas pump, and all seemed to be ok, finally with the help of a friend we found out that the ignition rotor at the distributor wasnt working we then replace it with a new one from autozone , is about 5 dollars, now it works just fine, big problem easy solution.

They're charging you for it? Since your car's only 2 years old, they should be covering it under warranty. Timing Chains don't break normally, and when they do, usually it's on a much older car. Mazda should be covering the costs for this under the power train warranty (which is good for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first)

This is just a guess, but my Mazda o/d light was blinking and it was the transmission overheating. It didn't hurt mine. Coolant was getting low in the radiator. But the engine was not overheating. It was highway driving.
