SOURCE: where is the fuel filter located on a 2003

If you vehicle is hesitating like it is not getting gas and then takes off like it just got gas then you might want to try replacing your air filter first, because is your air filter is dirty than you might not be getting the oxygen you need to run smooth, this will also give you better gas milage. If it is still doing this than you might want to replace the fuel filter it could also be dirty, you may be getting more than gas at the station. Unless you have the professional tools to remove and replace the filter, you might consider paying a VW place to do it for about $99 that is parts & labor. All auto mechanics are not the same.

SOURCE: 98 ford e 150 van idles in park fine. But when

Did you try changing plugs and WIRES!! wires are the most common cause of this problem, under load if you have a bad cracked wire it will "leak" the spark causing a weaker spark there for making your spark at the plug weak not burning the entire charge in the cylinder. If this still doesn't solve your problem being the cheap way (im sure it may fix it) try by changing your coil packs let me know what happens. If all else fails you may have a sloppy injector

Car jerking at low speeds and idle

Not fuel filter. Is your engine light on? Could be accelerator pedal position sensor. Does it do it only when you are accelerating?

Car jerks when accelerating

Jerks as in fuel starvation or jerks as in transmission slippage? Do you notice it more going up hills than you do on flat ground or going downhill?

Most likely is a fuel flow problem so change fuel filter and do a pressure test on the fuel pump. But also make sure that you don't have water in your fuel - if you think that might be the case - then pour a can of heat into it.

I have an 04 hyundai elantra and it jerks when i drive, i took it to the shop and no codes came up and no check engine light came up. My car needs a fuel pump could this be why the car jerking? And when...

I would check the transmission fluid. It may need changed and the filter changed. Perhaps you are not getting a good spark from your spark plugs or coils. Has it been awhile since you had a tune up?
