Go to the dealer for the vehicle you removed it from. or look on the web for a secondhand or refurbished unit. You will need to tell them the make and model of the vehicle you need it for.

CK your distributor rotor ....pull it off and look in side the hole where it fit on the distributor shaft if it really black in side replace it . If OK then either your ignition module ( inside the distributor a little black block with wires going to both end of it ) or the Stator inside the distributor has shorted out . The stator is kinda hard to change if you don't have the right tools . i think rebuilt distributors from the parts store have gotten a lot cheaper then they use to be ; you may want to change the whole thing a new one will come with a new module and stator

Are you still using points and condenser? If so try and replace as if they are not new and set correct gap it wont complete the circut. Cracks in the cap and a bad rotor can be causes also.

GM computers have a chip called an Eprom The computer and chip must match up if you put the wrong eprom or computer together the computer will not read. There are four computers for this model, you can take the orginal computer to a auto parts store and buy a rebuilt computer and e-prom for your vin number then plugh the rebuilt computer with correct eprom and your ready to go. I believe there are six updates for the e-prom so be sure to have the orginal computer and e-prom number to replace it with exact one. Cost $125.00 Rebuilt maybe slightly more.

Can I purchase a rebuild kit for my A/C Compressor?

Yes you can but your better off replacing it with a rebuilt and an exchange with the old compressor. You can buy the parts but your going to need the special tools to take the compressor apart, and your not going to have any warranty to the compressor you rebuilt. The manufactured compressor will have warranty so if there are any issues, your just going to have to bring it back. Good luck and hope this information helps.
