Question about Cars & Trucks
Under the steering wheel is a coiled contact ribbon that connects all the steering wheel controls to the electrical system of your car. The circuit has broken for the volume control most likely and you will need to have the dealer diactivate the airbag system and pull the steering wheel and replace the clockspring ribbon coiled contact drum.

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well

there is a service bulletin about this. the steering wheel has to be removed along with the switch gear. then the steering shaft ring that makes contact for these controls while the wheel is being turned need to be gently dimpled to make better contact. if the dimples are too extremem the whole steering column will need replaced.
