Re: need to take the door panel off of drivers side doors
Yes there are two or three screws in the handle itself, and there a couple of screwa the handle u pull to close the door.. the rest are just clips on the outer trim of the door, just simply pull the panel away from the door and it will pop off..keith..

Front Door Panel - Town Car - Removal
CAUTION: To avoid breakage of door pull cover(s), insert a screwdriver
diagonally between pull strap and chrome bracket. Snap out both sides
then remove.
Snap out two door pull strap retaining screw covers. Remove screws.
Remove two screws on front and rear side of front door trim panel.
The following procedure must be used during removal and installation of
the door armrest and trim panel. Refer to the appropriate illustrations
for component and vehicle model identification.
Using the Trim Pad Removing Tool from Rotunda Windshield and
Moulding/Trim Removal Kit 107-R0401 or equivalent, pry the trim panel
retaining clips from the door inner panel.
NOTE: Do not use front door trim panel (23942) to remove trim clips from
door inner panel. Replace any bent, damaged or missing push pins.
Remove window regulator control switch housing from back of front door
trim panel . Lift up housing, remove retaining screws and disconnect all
connectors.
Disconnect driver seat regulator control processor switch (driver door
only) if equipped.
Twist out interior lamp wire assembly and remove the front door trim
panel.
Installation
Ensure plastic watershield is secured to door panel.
Position front door trim panel to door. Connect interior lamp wiring.
Position the window regulator control switch housing and connect switch
connectors. Install the retaining screws.
Connect driver seat regulator control processor (14C708) (driver door
only) if equipped.
Align door lock side to its mating slide on the sheet metal (front doors
only).
Snap in front door trim panel. Ensure all retainers fit properly.
Install two retaining screws on front and rear side of front door trim
panel .
Install two retaining screws and pull strap covers.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Trim Panel —Front Door, Expedition
Removal
NOTE: Release the top portion first. Remove the sail panel.
Remove the window regulator switch plate (14524).
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the upper door trim panel screw.
Remove the door trim panel screw at the window regulator switch plate opening.
Remove the door trim panel screw in the courtesy lamp housing.
Remove the courtesy lamp lens.
Remove the screw.
Remove the inside door handle trim cover.
Remove the inside door handle.
Remove the bolt.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the front door trim panel, do not pull directly outward. Lift upward and then outward to remove the front door trim panel (23943).
Remove the courtesy lamp and socket.
Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector.
Installation
Connect the power mirror electrical connector.
Install the courtesy lamp and socket.
Install the front door trim panel.
Install the inside door handle.
Install the bolt.
Install the inside door handle trim cover.
Install the door trim panel screw in the courtesy lamp housing.
Install the screw.
Install the courtesy lamp lens.
Install the door trim panel screw at the window regulator switch plate opening.
Install the upper door trim panel screw.
Connect the electrical connectors.
NOTE: If a new trim panel is required: Some new trim panels have a cut out opening for the window switchplate that is larger than that on the original trim panel. When installing a new trim panel, install the window switchplate in the following sequence to make sure that the switchplate is secured fully into the door trim panel. Install the window regulator switchplate.
Insert the rear switchplate clip into the trim panel opening.
Install the forward and side clips into the trim panel opening.
NOTE: Install the lower portion first. Install the sail panel.
The motor is the regulator its one part.
You'll need a block of wood ( to hold up window if you don't have an assistant).
Remove screws from door panel pry out switch and discon it from connector.
The inside door handle is a little tricky use a flat screw driver and insert it on top of door handle trim where thesilver release handle rests and pry out the trim. Do it on top of the trim and on the bottom where the silver release handle sits. There are two parts to this door handle,Its trim and the handle itself.
Once you got the trim off the panel is easy as pie. just don't forget to pull electrical connector threw panel.
Next two screws to remove handle.
Pull up plastic cover and you'll see the three copper bolts to release the regulator. Then two bolts to release the window from regulator. Use a marker to mark position of bolts for regulator and window.
Installiation is reverse.
Remember install regulator first then put window on regulator. And don't forget to pull electrical connector threw panel to re connect switch.
Remove the motor retaining screws using Torx® drive bit set D79P–2100–T or equivalent, and separate the motor from the bracket and cable drum housing.
Remove the motor from inside the door.
To install:
Position the motor and drive to the cable drum housing and motor mounting bracket. Install the 3 motor screws and tighten.
Connect the power window motor wiring.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Check window operation.
Install the watershield and door trim panel.
Door Panel
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Snap out the two door pull strap retaining screw covers. Remove the screws.
CAUTION
To avoid breakage of the door pull covers, insert a small screwdriver diagonally between the pull strap and chrome bracket. Snap out both sides then remove.
Remove the two screws on the front and rear side of the front door trim panel.
Using the trim pad removing tool, pry the trim panel retaining clips from the door inner panel.
NOTE
Do not use the front door trim panel to remove the trim clips from the door inner panel. Replace any bent, damaged or missing push pins.
Remove the window regulator switch housing from the back of the front door trim panel. Lift up the housing and disconnect all connectors from the switch housing.
Disconnect the driver seat regulator control processor switch if equipped.
Twist out the interior lamp wire assembly.
To install:
Ensure that the plastic watershield is secured to the door .
Position the front door trim panel to the door. Connect the interior lamp wiring.
Align door lock side to its mating slide on the sheet metal.
Snap in the front door trim panel. Ensure all retainers fit properly. Install the two retaining screws on the front and rear side of the front door trim panel.
Connect the driver seat regulator control processor, if equipped.
Position the window regulator control switch housing and connect the switch connectors. Install it to the front door trim panel by snapping it in, or by installing the screw at the rear.
Install the two retaining screws and pull strap covers.
probably need a new window regulator. ebay. 93 to 98 should fit.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Trim Panel(s), Door
Front Removal
Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301) if equipped with power locks or power windows.
CAUTION: Use care when removing the front door inside handle escutcheon (22620). Failure to do so can result in damage to the component.
Carefully pry off the front door inside handle escutcheon by inserting a standard 1/4 inch screwdriver between the top rear portion of the front door inside handle escutcheon and the front door trim panel (23942) .
If equipped with manual windows, slip a clean shop rag between the window regulator handle (23342) and the front door trim panel .
Pull the shop rag back and forth to release the window regulator handle clip.
Remove the three cover caps and front door trim panel screws.
Remove the one front door trim panel capped screws from the door pull handle.
If equipped with power windows, remove the door pull handle. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Slide a flat-bladed tool behind each of the retainers and twist the tool to disengage the front door trim panel from the front door (20124) .
Remove the front door trim panel.
Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Window Regulator, Power
Front Door Removal
Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301) .
Remove the front door window glass (21410) . Refer to the front door window glass removal procedure in this section.
Remove the two front door brace bolts and the front door brace.
Disconnect the front window regulator electric drive electrical connector.
Remove the four front door window glass regulator track bolts.
Remove the three front window regulator electric drive bolts.
Remove the front door window glass regulator track and the front window regulator electric drive (23394) as an assembly through the opening in the front door (20124) .
Installation
Install the front door window glass regulator track and the front window regulator electric drive as an assembly through the opening in the front door .
Install the three front window regulator electric drive bolts. Tighten the front window regulator electric drive bolts securely.
Install the four front door window glass regulator track bolts. Tighten the front door window glass regulator track bolts securely.

Driver's Side Door
NOTE
This procedure is for models with power windows. If equipped with manual windows, refer to the procedure for the Passenger Side Door Panel.
NOTE
Do not grasp in grip depression when pulling off grip recess, as there is a strut secured to door trim underneath.
If necessary, make sure you have the radio code.
Make sure the ignition if OFF, then disconnect the negative battery cable.
Insert a suitable prytool in lower partition between the panel and grip recess.
Insert a suitable prytool in lower partition between the panel (1) and grip recess (2)
Unclip the grip recess upward out of door trim. Do NOT reach into grip depression while doing so, to prevent damage to brace.
Press the locking lug against the connector (3 – arrow) and pull it off.
Unclip the grip recess (2) upward out of door trim. Do NOT reach into grip depression while doing so, to prevent damage to brace (1). Then , press the locking lug against the connector (3 – arrow) and pull it off
Unscrew the 7 mounting bolts.
Unclip the door trim at the sides using disassembly pliers 3392, or equivalent.
Lift the door trim up out of window recess.
Unfasten the 7 bolts (arrows). Use pliers to unclip the door trim (1) at the sides, then lift the trim up out of the window recess
Unclip the cable guide using a prytool, pull out the bracket in the direction of the arrow, then unhook the cable hook.
Unclip the cable guide (1) using a prytool (2), pull out the bracket (3) in the direction of the arrow, then unhook the cable hook (4)
Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim panel from the vehicle.

To install:
Pull off the window recess seal from door trim and insert in window recess.
Pull off the window recess seal (1) from door trim and insert in window recess
The remainder of installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
Before installing door trim, check all clips and replace as necessary, and insert into mounts of door trim.
After connecting battery, check that the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows) is operating properly.
If the Electronic Control Module (ECM) is subject to low voltage with ignition on, DTC memory and Readiness code must be checked with a scan tool.
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
Pull off the triangular trim panel that is right behind the mirror. It is held on by 2 clips. This will allow you to see all three 10 mm bolts to remove the mirror.
Remove the sail panel,the little panel on inside of door at the mirror.
Remove the window regulator switch plate, pry up on the front of it with a small pick or screw driver. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the top door trim panel screw that is behind the sail panel you removed.
Remove door trim panel screw at window regulator switch plate opening.
Remove door trim panel screw in the courtesy lamp housing. Remove the courtesy lamp lens.Remove the screw.
Remove the inside door handle trim cover.
Remove the bolt.
Remove the inside door handle.
Lift upward to remove the front door trim panel.
Remove the courtesy lamp.
Turn the courtesy lamp bulb socket one quarter turn and remove.
Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector.
Remove the three outside rear view mirror nuts.
Remove the mirror.
