SOURCE: seat belt light staying on

There is a small clip with one wire on it at the base of the seat belt where it connects to the floor. It might be broken, or the switch inside the belt clip is faulty. If the wire is fine and connected the belt clip side needs replacing

if i were you i would try to make the ones from either the mark 3 supra or try the es250.. im trying to get it to work with the supra but i think your best bet is from the lexus es250. they share the same chassis obviously so most parts are interchangeable.

How do I stop the seatbelt noise to stop after buckling up?

If the chime doesn't stop you will have a problem with the floor mounted portion of the seat belt. You can spray some WD 40 in the slot and buckle/unbuckle several times to see if the problem will correct itself. If not the chime module can be removed from under the dash once you follow the noise and locate it

Have the same problem in my 98 Toyota Rav4. I squirted the female buckle (bolted to seat, not holding strap harness) with wannabe WD-40 lubricant from the $1 store, and it seem to have solved the problem. I'm guessing the spring mechanism is worn out, which is why the harness buckle won't lock. Another solution is to replace the female lock buckle with an identical part from the used parts junkyard store.

The seatbelt light on the dash stays "on," even when everyone has their belt on, but I don't bother servicing that. If yours have an audible alarm instead of an indicator light on the dash, locate the source of the alarm sound and disconnect the wires to silence the sound.

2003 deville seatbelt will not engage

  • Hello again, sometimes them belt buckles get old. You can open that buckle up and sometimes work them little hook's with some WD-40 or and good bolt breaking lubricant. You may be able to save the buckle with just some lubricant. Personally, if giving that much trouble I would replace the buckle itself. Not to hard really.

Even after I buckle my seatbelt the chime still goes off and my car does not recognize it is buckled. Please tell me which fuse I need to take or what to do and dont tell me to check my manual and follow...

Try looking for a wire that connects to the seat belt somewhere under the seat it could have become disconnected or cut. Also try taping the fastener with something like a hammer maybe a bit of WD-40 cause something might be sticking inside the fastener.

Thanks

WD 40 is the best first move. Just squirt it right inside the seatbelt latch and work it by pressing the button and putting in and taking back out the other end of the seatbelt. I bet this will do it. The Raz
