What is the engine lacking to run? Does it have fuel pressure? Does it have spark at the spark plugs? Is there any mechanical problem with the engine like a bad camshaft drive chain?
on a car that old, you will be finding parts only in junkyards. they are in the yellow pages under auto recyclers. large yards have nationwide parts locater service
On The late 80's gran fury The ignition module was part of the computer that is attchced to the air cleaner. I have seen them on some of the very early 80 cars and they were on the passenger inner fender under the hood. But if you have a big black box on your air cleaner with a bunch of wires going to it it was part of that. Hope this helps.
Should be located on the block, passenger side, down low, and more at the front of the vehichle. It is a mechanical pump and bolted to the block with either 2 or 3 bolts, should have 2 or 3 steel lines cominng out of it.
Push down on bottom part with knee, while pushing back. Do the same on the other side. Once that's out, two bottom bolts for the upright part, then lift up. You're done.
have you changed the plugs and leads, if you don't know the last time it was started there is a few things you need to take into account, engine oil and spark plugs fuel filter even the fuel in the tank empty and replace, coil and the points ( if upgraded there is no coil and points as been converted) you would also need to clean out the carburetor as old fuel drying can block or limit fuel entering the engine. change air filter. even standing an engine for a year or 2 these parts can degrade as they have not been used. also change the water and flush the system and refill with coolant/antifreeze.
