Question about 2004 Suzuki Forenza

AC COMPRESSOR the ac compressor in my car does not turn on and i do not know why. could you help? when i turn the ac switch on air comes out but the compressor does not turn on.

Someone would need to check and see if the system is full of freon, and if you have power at the ac compressor clutch.
And the sending unit in the gas tank would need to be checked to diagnose the fuel gauge. The sending unit gets voltage from the gauge on the dash and provides the ground for the gauge.

My AC is blowing hot and it has Freon. What most likely to be the problem?


Your compressor is not coming on. Test this by turning the car on and setting the AC to mac cold and out the top vents only. After 5 to ten minutes feel the low pressure AC line. Its normally the one witg the blue cap and has condensation on it. If it doesnt have condensation or doesnt feel cold, then the compressor may not be coming on. Also when there is an AC switch that axtivates the compressor when you turn the air on, this could be whats bad. If you know that the compressor is not comming on at this point, check your fuses for the compressor. Of you cant determine the problem at this point you may have to have it services.

No electrical power to AC Compressor. The switch light comes on in car when AC power button is turned on.


  1. Check if air blows with the fan setting turned to high.
  2. Check that the radiator cooling fan engages when the A/C button is pressed.
  3. Locate the compressor.
  4. Turn on the A/C.
  5. Check if the compressor's clutch has been engaged.
  6. If the clutch engages, the fault is elsewhere.
  7. If the clutch does not engage, check for power to the clutch.
These steps might help find the problem.

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

Air compressor wont come on to to put in 134a


The AC compressor does not have to be running to charge the AC system, and the low pressure switch will even prevent the AC compressor from operating until there is sufficient pressure to operate the AC compressor without damaging it.

Start the engine and turn on the AC, then charge the system with the R-134a and as soon as there is enough pressure built up to trip the low pressure switch off, the AC compressor clutch should then engage and then finish charging the AC system.

Air compressor will not start, seems like a electrical problem, check fuses under hood and relay


the compressor is also controled by the coimputer. Disconnect the battery than reconnect it than try your ac to see if it comes on. if it does and it clicks on and off than you may be low on freon. Being low on freon will also keep the compressor from coming on because you have pressure switches that are in ac lines that control power to the compressor. you can disconnect the wires at the compressor and with the car running turn the ac on and probe the wire with a test light to see if you have power to the compressor. If you have power than chances are your ac clutch may be bad. Hope this helps leave a comment.

A/C air sometimes cold, sometimes not on VW Beetle 2001 Turbo


AC will not work with temps are cold even when it is turned on. The air is colder cause the temp is colder. The AC cycles in hot weather because the AC charge is low and needs recharging. You will know this if you open the hood run the AC and you will hear the clicking sound of the AC compressor magnetic clutch. You can recharge it easily buy buying a compatible can of refrigerant. I suggest buying the kit with the gage so you don't overcharge the system which will cause freeze ups

Where is the low pressure switch for my Honda Odyssey 2003 AC ?


The A/C pressure switch is located in the high pressure line (the skinny one) on the passenger side of the engine compartment just under the fuse/relay box. The switch has three functions: <28 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor from lack of lubrication. >220 psi, the switch shifts the radiator and compressor fan to high speed. >455 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor seals. Check to see if you have any powertrain DTC's first. A faulty engine coolant temp sensor can cause problems with the compressor clutch relay. If the radiator and compressor fan come on with the A/C on but the compressor clutch does not operate, check the compressor clutch relay. You can also obtain Heater control panel diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) by turning the ignition switch on. Then turn fan switch off. Press recirc button to select recirc air. Press and hold recirc to turn off recirc air but this time continue to hold the button down until recirc light comes on for two seconds and then goes off. If there is any trouble, the recirc light will then blink a code (if no trouble, the light will remain off) 1 blink = problem in air mix control motor circuit. 2 blinks = a problem in mode control motor circuit. 3 blinks = a problem in evaporator temperature sensor circuit. (this one could be a factor in your case) Turn the ignition switch off to end the test.

I think the air compressor is bad in the truck


If your refrigerant level is OK and the truck blows cold air your compressor should be fine, in which case the noise is probably coming from the AC clutch which isn't too expensive or difficult to replace. If it doesn't blow cold air, switch the AC on and watch the compressor. If the clutch engages, but the compressor doesn't turn, the drive belt will squeal loudly and probably start to smoke. In that case it is the compressor which is expensive to replace. Most vehicles have an AC bypass that will temporarily cut out the compressor clutch under heavy load. If you are going uphill with the AC on or accelerating heavily you might notice warm air coming out of the vents for a short period until you let off the gas.

Air conditioner not cooling


Is 1 of the 2 AC (under the hood) lines cold? if so you may have a blend door problem, that door is in the dash air duct distribution system, it mixes are between the hot heater core and the cold AC evaporater core to give the set or desired air outlet temp, When you turn the defrost on does it blow hot/cold as the lever is moved back and forth? The compressor turning off and on is normal cycling of the system, when it reaches a preset pressure in the low side line, a pressure switch will open and compressor will "cycle off" when the press starts to rise to a preset limit the compressor will "cycle on" and so on. I assume you have an electric bled door, older cars and trucks use a cable operated mechanical door.
