On a V6 or V8 engine, bank one is on the side with cylinder one, and bank two is on the side with cylinder two.

Where's the bank 1 sensor 1 located at my toyota sienna 2007, i know there are 3 sensors in bank 1 and 1 sensor in bank 2 if you can give me the image or view where they are located i really appreciate...

O2 sensors location is broken down like this. The bank refers to which side of the motor the sensor is on. Bank 1 is the same side of the engine as the number one cylinder. Bank 2 is the other side of the motor. Sensor refers to either before the cat or after the cat.

Bank 1 sensor 1 would be the O2 on the side of the motor that the number one cylinder is on and before the cat.

The number one cylinder is on the back side of the motor (the side closest to the firewall). The O2 sensor will be in the exhaust pipe near the exhaust manifold.

Where B1S1, B1S2, B2S1, B2S2, O2 sensors are located before or after the catalytic converter passenger or driver side?

Hi, B1 refers to the left side of the engine as you look at the belts. B2 is the right side (bank 2).
S1 refers to the upstream sensor on the respective bank. These sensors are mounted in the exhaust manifold or just below the flange. S2 refers to the downstream sensor or the respective bank--the one after the catalytic converter. Please let me know if you have additional questions, and thanks for usinf FixYa.

Can any one tell me where Bank 2/2 HO2 sensor located on 2002 nissan pathfinder ( passenger or driver side) ? Thanks

The bank refers to the side of the engine. Bank one is always the same side of the engine as the number one cylinder. Bank 2 is alwasy the other side of the engine.

Sensor refers to before the cat or after the cat. Sensor 1 is before the cat and sensor two is after the cat.

So Bank 2 Sensor 2 is on the engine opposite of the number 1 cylinder and after the catalytic converter.

Pluged in the computer to my truck and it said there is a o2 sensor malfunction of bank 2. how do i find it? also it says the truck is running to lean. is this cause by the o2 sensor?

Yes, this too lean runing engine is due of oxygen O2 sensor malfunction. Must be replaced with new one. You can find it very simply on bank 2. The bank 1 of V8 engine is the cylinder bank on the right (passenger's) side of the car, (for Left Hand Drive vehicles). So the bank 2 is placed on the left (driver's) side of the car, (for Left Hand Drive vehicles). The bad oxygen O2 sensor is fitted on bank 2, so you can replace it.

Please rate my response. Thanks!

PO135 Error Code

Bank one stands for the same side as the number 1 cylinder. Sensor 1 is the first sensor in the bank, (closest to the engine or upstream).
In most cases you will find it on the drivers side\left hand side of the engine and above the catalytic converter. Look for it on the lower portion of the exhaust manifold.

Oxygen sensor confusion

1/1 is upstream sensor on the number 1 cylinder side, 1/2 is the downstream of the number 1 cylinder side, 2/1 is the upstream of the number 2 cylinder side, 2/2 is the downstream of the number 2 cylinder side. Hope this helps.

Need to know placement of heated oxygen sensor

The O2 sensors are located in the exhaust piping.
One (bank 1) is on the engine side of the Catalytic convertor.
Second (bank 2) is on the other side (exhaust end).

There are manufacturers that make universal fits that will go in either location. Be sure to specify the rear sensor when you go to the parts store.

It will look like this....

It threads right into the exhaust pipe.
