It depends on the engine that is fitted. A lot of them have fuel injection. You might want to check the spark plugs are working.

If the car won't turn over your immediate problem is with the starter or the battery. subsequently if you have a bad battery you could also have a bad alternator not charging the battery. You problem isn't with the fuel pump as it does not assist the engine in cranking.

Check your muffler for blockage. Does the engine heat up? A blocked muffler will allow an engine to run but acceleration is almost impossible.

SOURCE: ford 1994 mondeo running poorly

Well, I am in an advisery capacity here, so that's the most I can do is give you the best of my advise. It is not a timing belt. the nature of timing belts are they either work or they don't.

You have a problem related to something else, but there is no way that I can diagnosis it based on what info I have.

No pulse? Is the engine running? How are you measureing pulse? If the engine is running there is a pulse, if it's not running, there won't be a pulse. If TDCI is correct this is a turbodiesel

Ford mondeo mk3, intermitent dumping of water from cooing system, found crack in header tank, changed same, ran car at idle, temp guage at normal & heater blowing hot , took car for run , temp guage off...

You may have an air pocket in your system which some times happens.  One way to get rid of it is to take the upper hose off on the engine side,  fill your system with water until it runs out from your engine block, replace the hose, start your car turn you heater on and set to hi keep the radiator cap loose until the temp start to rise then close tight.  Once the air pocket had been remover you can drain some of the water from the radiator using the lower drain plug and add antifreeze.
