SOURCE: tC makes a ticking / flapping noise when driving.

Grab ahold of the "Chin" or lip spoiler under the radiator...chances are it broken..."Flapping" at speed...might also be an inner fenderwell thats loose.
Good Luck

SOURCE: I have a rattling sound coming from the right

This could be cause by your wheel bearings, the wheel bearings are just a bunch of little metal bearing that are normally in grease. sometime the grease might get really dirty or actually melt out. other problems could be the brakes are rubbing on something or missing a brake mounting bolt. Maybe take a look at the brakes and inside of the rim of the tire to see if there is any wear. And then check all around that section, if it is none of that you could check the Wheel bearings, this is harder to get to and takes a while to replace, and some car it take some special tools

I have taken my 2003 GMC Envoy in to a GM dealer more than 6 times to be repaired for a very loud creaking noise in the front end. When I brake, the creaking noise starts. Or if I go over a bump, the...

My wife drives a 2003 GMC Envoy and has been complaining about this same creaking noise upon breaking or going over speed humps. I researched this topic on the internet high and low and tried everything I read to no avail. I was about to give up and then realized it could be the motor mounts since when you break or go over bumps the engine does have some movement. Sprayed the most interesting looking motor mounts I've ever seen with silicone spray and the noise was gone! My wife has been complaining for years about this noise and now looking back what a simple solution!. By the way my motor mounts where not worn out, the rubber portion of the mount just needed a little lube.

Creaking/friction when I hit a bump?

Still sounding like a bushing, but it also could be related to a strut. I have tried this in the past....jack the car up and ONLY on one side first, use WD-40 and spray each of the bushings well. Leave the upper strut area alone...do your normal driving. If you still have the squek/crunch, etc, spray the upper strut area. A rare ocassion it can be the upper strut mount.

let me know how it goes!

Knocking trom font of car when....

sounds like a cv axle noise i have found you cant change inner without outer, for the time spent you should replace the axle as a whole,,much easier too. front wheel drive cars are hard on front end bushings and etc. the coil springs seem to sqirm in there saddles when they get old too making creaking noises, no big deal on ford escort, tempo, topaz, sable,,,,,

its probably your bump stops. the vw ones are very soft. i bought ford escort (the shape after the xr3) ones and cut them a little down to fit. i think the noise is either your shock touching or the sound of the tire scraping the body of the car. hope this helps.

Creaking sound while turning steering wheel

There's a chance that the ball joints need grease. This should help, however once they have started to make noise like that due to lack of grease, they usually have gone bad. Replacement may be the only remedy. Hope this helps.
