SOURCE: 2004 toyota tundra alarm keeps going off and truck

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Alarm going off no reason

You might want to check one of 2 things or both just in case. Check your ground wire and check all of your fuses, if a fuse is bad it will send the wrong signal to your control panel which will cause your alarm to go off for no reason, kind of like your smoke detector when the battery is ready to be changed how it beeps. Also if it is your ground wire then the best thing to do is take the fuse out fix the grounding then replace the fuse with a new one. I sure hope this helps I had the same problem with my car not to long ago because someone tried to steal my car so they tried to pull the wire to the alarm and it wouldn't stop running so I had to replace both, Wire and fuse. Good luck

I have a 1997 volkswagen jetta gl 2.0 and while i was driving suddenly my alarm goes off, so i shut off the car and go outside to unlock the doors and lock them to shut off the alarm but that doesnt work,...

I have heard of VW's of this era having issues with water getting on the alarm module board, which causes the alarm to go off without rhyme or reason. I believe the seal around the water deflectors near the windshield cracks or degrades. The alarm module should be under the hood near the windshield on the driver's side, under a plastic cover. If you can locate it, you could try drying it off and seeing if that helps.
An alternative is that the wiring in the door could be getting wet, if the seals are no longer good.
If you just need to make it *******, remove the fuse for the horn, if you can find it.

Try replacing the battery on your key remote first, and if that doesn't help it could be on it's way out.

Replaced both headlight bulbs and passenger side light still does not work on 2007 tundra

Check the fuses. I do believe there is a left and right side fuse for the headlamps. For some reason toyotas, especially highlanders, like to blow the fuses when the headlights burn out.

2004 passat highline tdi, alarm keeps going off for no reason and cant deactivate it by pressing the lock button twice like it says to in the manual,, where is the fuse?????

You could have a problem if you remove the fuse .It is located on the drivers side dashboard. The alarm most likly means you need a drivers side door lock actuator. The convenience computer controls many accessory's. If the alarm keeeps going off try to turn it off by turning the trunk lock to off.It is easy to find the problem with the proper factory scan tool. It will show a code and with the code you can fix the problem www.GermanCarDepot.com

Just replaced battery on 2005 tundra, how do I reset the vehicle alarm. The alarm now sounds whenever I open the doors.

Anytime the alarm sounds when opening the door with the key, get into the truck anyway, place the key into the ignition key switch and turn it on and off 2 times. The horn will stop blowing and the lights will stop flashing. You're ready to go.......
