Most likely it will cost the same if you provide the gasket or not. The job is usually a flat rate.

Testimonial: "but how much is the flat rate. the mechanic did at home on his own time not garage time so no overheads and he is a chevy fanatic and knows his stuff"

How much does it cost to replace the idle control valve on a 2004 f150

I just did one on a customer's truck. The IAC [idle air control valve] for this truck is about $160 for the part. Expect to pay $20 -$30 for labor. Prior to buying a new valve, I would try removing your existing valve and cleaning it with aerosol carburetor cleaner. Buy a new gasket [under $5] with the cleaner, as you will need to replace the gasket when you re-install the valve. If you have more than 150,000 miles on your truck, cleaning the valve will probably be a waste of time.

There are 3 pressure control solenoids & 4 shift solenoids in one
plastic part ,made by Bosch

You remove the trans pan,the gasket is reuseable silicone
You remove the filter
You remove approx 7 -- T30 bolts, holding the solenoid pack
& one 10mm electrical connector bolt

It is leaking oil from right under the intake manifold is that a gasket leak and how much for part approx.?

From what your describing it sounds like a blown intake gasket, the gasket itself costs under $30 if you are doing this yourself. Be sure to get the manifold gasket and not the plenum gasket too

How much does it cost to fix a bent valve on a suzuki ferenza 2004?

YOU'LL BE LOOKING AT REMOVING THE HEAD, TO GET TO THE VALVE! SO YOU'LL BE LOOKING AT NEW INTAKE, AND EXHAUST GASKETS, PLUS A NEW HEAD GASKET, AND THE VALVE! PARTS STORE CAN GIVE YOU THE COST OF THE PARTS! AND IF YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF, YOU SAVE THE COST OF LABOR! IF NOT, IT CAN BE COSTLY, UNLESS YOU HAVE A GOOD FRIEND, THAT'S MECHANICALLY INCLINED!

You didn't tell us in which currency that '2780' was quoted but if US $, that seems unreasonable to me.
Timing belts can cost >$100 but not often and vary in degrees of difficulty to replace; on one of our cars (87 X1/9) it's about a 30 minute job. A Subaru Outback is more like a couple of hours so yours is likely in that range somewhere.
Valve cover and transmission gaskets aren't normally that tough to replace and cost little; check one of the chain auto parts sites to verify that. It only takes a few minutes to run up the potential parts cost and the labor should run well under a $1000 total.
Now you have a second opinion but, get a 3rd one in person.

2000 3.3 auto grand voyager. got a major coolant leak, to the extent that you can see it weep. Been to Chrysler garage, who said a little is coming from water pump (£275 to replace), but most is...

It must be leaking from under the valve cover. The time for rear valve cover gasket replacement is 2.5hrs and 3hrs for both front and rear, I would replace both at the same time and the gasket. Its advisable to get it done by technician if the coolant is leaking as the coolant is leaking from under the valve cover. Its $300 for parts and services (timing gasket $40, valve cover gasket $140, oil pan gasket set $70, and coolant flush for $50) . ''the timing cover is leaking coolant''--engines water pump is behind the cover and it is failing-. as far as parts and labor it sounds reasonable and it all sounds pretty typical for your vehicle. But still get it confirmed by any other tech before getting it repaired. To confirm the estimate cost. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I am replacing the timing belt and notice that the L/H cam arrow is approx 7 teeth out, the other marks line up

be very careful this is an interference engine if you are changing it because of issues with performance ,chances are valves are bent already.it is recommended you change the idler pulleys as well and tensioner .if your valves are damaged it is a twelve hour job to remove and replace head gaskets and valves its easier to replace the engine and costs less.

Think the oil is leaking from either the oil pan

What I would do if I were you, I would go to the local auto parts store and buy a Hanes Repair Manual for your specific car-make sure it is the correct year and model. Read and follow the directions written in the manual. If it is just an oil pan or valve cover gasket, the manual will show you step by step on how to do the job correctly. It is not hard at all. After your done fixin, you'll have a sense of accomplishment and would have saved approx. $100 in labor cost. Good Luck.
