You can find this under the hood. It is located close to the firewall on the driver's side of the vehicle. Due to engine variations in some SUVswhere is my recharge line for my ac - icon1.png, it may be elsewhere. You will see a yellow, blue or black cap that may be marked L or LOW.

ON THE LOW SIDE LINE. THE LARGER OF THE TWO LINES FROM THE COMPRESSOR IS THE LOW SIDE . IT IS THE LINE THAT ENTERS THE CABIN THROUGH THE FIREWALL

How do you change ac compressor on a 2000 nissan sentra

hook the high and low sides of the ac to a evac/recharge machine at a repair shop and evacuate the freon. apply a vacuum to the lines. measure how much oil comes out. disconnect the two aluminum lines from the ac pump, remove the serpentine belt, remove the (probably) 4 small long bolts. remove and install new part. reattach lines. do NOT overtighten lines. recharge ac refrigerant to specified ammount. if the pump is new you will have to measure how much oil comes out of it and put in that much oil in the new pump or it will burn up. if you dont have a evac/recharge machine they cost around 3000 dollars.

Ac needs recharged can,t find port

These ports are usually covered with blue plastic cap. Remember to always service on suction/low pressure line only, the low press. line is the large line coming off the compressor.

Ac recharge

locate your evaporator inlet outlet lines usually coming out of the fire wall. then follow the line that runs to the compressor. that is your low side line and the service port should be on that line

AC has stopped blowing cold air. Compressor is working. Where is the recharge valve located?

There are two A/C refrigerant lines. The small line is your high pressure line and the larger line is your low pressure line.
Start at the fire wall and follow the "large " low pressure line to the compressor. The low pressure charge port will be some where on that line.
DO NOT try to recharge on the high pressure side ( small line )
Good luck, let me know.
