SOURCE: toyota previa petrol smell

I had similar problem some months ago it turned out to be the pipe under wheel arch (corroded) where cap filler is.
my problem was solved by replacing pipe which is connected to rubber pipe fixed to tank and filler hose from filler cap.
tools neede llong large cross head screwdriver, small socket set ( 12 mm , 13mm , 14mm) 150 mm extension bar. to remove bracket bolts
possibly some new pipe clips as others may be corroded.
you will need to jack up car and remove wheel to gain access.
took me about 1 hr, somebody with competent DIY skills should be able to deal in couple of hrs
check with dealer as there are two different pipes on different models one is longer.
my one was the one with the piggybacked overflow pipe.
small hands are advantage

Smelled petrol in car, car do not want to switch on no lights going on

Check all gas lines from your gas tank to the carburetor and see if there are damp spots and if you see any damp spots take your finger and wipe the damp spot and smell. If it smells like gas there probably is a slight leak. even a moist spot of gas will smell big time.
Check all around your gas tank as well. A question i have do you have a clean air filter. If not it might be choking itself to *****.**

Engine trouble code 174 bank 2

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 2 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6 and V8 engines, Bank 2 is normally the side of the engine that doesn't have cylinder #1.

This problem usually indicates that there's a vacuum leak somewhere on the engine.

Inspect all the vacuum hoses on the engine for any that are disconnected or leaking. If none are found, then start the engine and while it's idling take an aerosol can throttle body cleaner and spray this around the intake area of the engine. If there are any vacuum leaks, the engine idle speed will change when the cleaner is drawn into the engine at the leak.

I have 2001 Suzuki Vitara, just recently was having problems with car cutting off or put putting, so I took to a mechanic we replace fuel filter, check engine light was staying on he pur computer on it I...

Relaced all that and didn't check the catalitic converter. When you get codes for MAF sensor and 02 Sensors, the first place to check is vacuum leaks, if none are found then it would go right to the catalitic converter. You might want to consider another mechanic.

Petrol smell in side the car

Possible there is leak or a joint fault in the fill cap, the fuel tank filling hose clamp , the fuel line to the fuel pump , fuel filter.
Now since petrol is highly volatile a small gap can make the gas smell into the cabin. Please start your check from the tank to the pump and the return fuel pipe, checking for leaks which can be easily tightened or a faulty fuel line changed.

check vacuum lines, near air canisters and air filters etc, usually rubber hoses, may be cracked ,split, dry rot enough to let air in. may as well start there.

The light flash in my véhicule bord if y utilised my 4x4 in my suzuki vitara 1999 engine 1.6, so an not very good in english tank you

It could be the vacuum pump that activate the 4x4 wheel drive. It is placed behind the front bumper. Check the hoses from the pump for leaks. If the pump is defect it will not make enough vacuum and the light will flash.

If no check engine light is on is most likely a bad vacume line on the fuel injectors.
