Don't know what type/size socket...do you need a "deep well socket"? this allows for a taller bolt head...also does an open end wrench/box wrench fit over the bolt? Are you lubricating with PB Blastor spray to loosen corroded bolts?

What is the bolt size on a starter in a 2006 Suzuki Verona? one is 14mm. the other is smaller. what is that size?

what are you asking?
i lost my bolt???
or i can't find a socket tool to fit the one there, metric head size?
you said one is 14mm well that is not the bolt size, its the head socket size.
so i guess your socket set is missing all the other sizes?
10 to 22mm?
what we do is try all metric sockets if stumped.,
it will be one of those.

Instead of the standard AMC bell housing bolt pattern, AMC/Jeep engineers adopted the General Motors small V6 and four-cylinder bolt pattern

In 1986 the head went under a minor revision, the head bolts were increased from 7/16 to 1/2 inch.

Alternator bolt size

the head size for socket size or actual bolt spec.?
you lost the bolt (not stated) or just want to unscrew it?

I'll'' guess at lost.
its metric.
and is 6mm or 8mm ? in size. (i bet 8)
buy some 6 and 8s in the store and see if one fits.
if one fits , you now know the diameter in mm and the pitch.
now buy the correct length (use a ruler)

Two bolts at the top of the hogs head are not regular socket size and not twelve point either. I dont even know what tool to ask for at the parts house. can you help?

Not sure what a hogs head is, but your description sounds like Torx. It is a newer type of fastener and can take giant amounts of input force.
