To get at the fog lights out you have to unclip them, 4 latches - one on each cnr of the black ousing which can be reached by reaching down past headlights. Once loose they can be accessed by removing the wheel arch lining and pull out that way after unclipping the wiring block connnector. They look like a sealed unit but are not and come apart between the ehite and black housing. This makes it possible to be able to replace the 55w halogen bulb
if you research this. you find. higher power lamps can be illegal. or overloads your wiring. and they discovered that yellow natural lamps "tungsten type" humans see farther, 100% opposite of all HYPE.
do you wish to be seen or both. first choice is YOU. I drove for 20 years at midnight and know this well. for sure a complex subject, that can very by conditions. fog, rain, dry ,wet, clear , whatever. most tricks to get others to see you better (than stock) are illegal. (front) flashing or modulated lights, (my MC has that) fog lamps sometimes are legal. I used them in yellow. the fog lamp will make you more visable. and allows, better viewing in fog.
yes, see and be seen. The worst case is motorcycle. i have 15 years + doing that on the road. so know how bad that is, folks pulling out of blind spots. I lived, because i drove slow. and at night slower. time to react is the best , proactive measure, of them all.
In your car, Halogen lamps are best. and with clear lenses , do not run murky lenses. + fog lamps.
LOOK IN THE OWNERS MANUAL IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT,LOOK IN THE BACK INDEX OF MANUAL, LOOK UP BULB REPLACEMENT.IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO REPLACE FOG LIGHT BULB.USE LATEX WHEN CHANGING FOG LIGHT BULBS, BECAUSE LIGHT BULBS IS HALOGEN IF TOUCH WITH FINGERS OR HANDS, OILS FROM HANDS WILL CAUSE HALOGEN OVERHEAT AND BLOW OUT.
you replace the fog lamps by going under front bumper fascia.remove the pushpins and take down the splash shield to access the back of the fog lamps.then you remove two bolts retaining the fog lamp to the back of front bumper.besure to wear clean gloves.because fog lamps is halogen bulbs.if you touch with bare hands the oils from hands will make the bulbs over heat and blow out.
