Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: vw golf .... alpha...... safe 2

"2 safe" means that your radio was in safe mode, and then the code was improperly entered 2 times. you either need to disconnect your battery and leave it for up to 4 hours (i've been told), or leave your key in the ignition for around an hour.

once it comes out of "2 safe" mode, then it will just say SAFE and give you the numbers 1-0-0-0. You just need to enter the 4 digit code (using your pre-set numbers 1-2-3-4 to change the numbers), then hold the seek > button and your radio should come on.

If you don't have the code, call VW. they'll find your code for free. they did for me. if not they'll charge like $50 or something.

Need to hook up a VW scanner or equivalent so you can isolate where it's not functioning properly from the DTC (display trouble code) stored in it's memory.

My 1996 volkswagen golf vr6 starts and then stahls

This is just a guess. Our vehicles are equipped with an Immobilizer theft deterrent system. It could be that it's malfunctioning thinking it is armed even though the ignition switch is engaged for operation.

To support this, you need to scan for DTC codes stored in the ECU. A scan tool whether a VAG 1552 or equivalent is hooked up to the DLC port and information is downloaded for further interpretation. It would be a good idea to bring it to a VW specialist although a dealer isn't a bad idea that come with a price tag. Hope this will help. Good luck.

Halo lights for vw golf 1996

I ran into the same problem with my 1997 golf with a pair of halo projector lamps, i ended up going to the local hard ware store, getting about 8 screws 2 inches by 1/8 inch threaded with bolts to secure and washers (about the size of an u.s. quarter) to put in place for adjustments. you will need to bend one or two of your head light mounts (the metal where the light mounts to the car) out, so you can mount the light to the car. once u just bend the car mount from facing down to facing the front of the car, you will be able to secure at least 3 out of the 4 mounts, in my case i had to use a zip tie for the bottom-outside mount, but you might get lucky with yours.
