Fault code P0134

P0134 fault code means that the front oxygen sensor does not work. When the engine starts, the engine computer to monitor the input voltage before the oxygen sensor, if the signal voltage from the sensor within the specified time is less than 0.5V, the computer determines the sensor does not work, probably because the engine computer failure, sensor failure, between line failure, exhaust system leaks, etc., are generally sensor damage. To the service shop using the obd2 scanner can be judged. hope the answer to help you.

1997Chrysler town and county wont start and when it does it dies right away, when you give it some gas it back fires

Well the starting problem could be fuel related, code 134 is for an open circuit going to the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter.
I doubt the code would cause the engine not to start.

I am getting codes p0141 and p0134, and I have replaced the sensor 1 upstream already

P0141 Heated o2 sensor. P0134 Heater 02 sensor circuit, These 02 sensor has a fuse in the engine junction box listed as IGN 1. This supplies 12volts to the heater circuit, check to make sure its not a open fuse. If you already replaced the sensors make sure you clear the code. or it will stay in memory.

2000 Ford Windstar 3.8.....engine light is on.....have been told that the following codes show up........P1171, P1175, P0131, P0134......what does it all mean and how much would it cost to correct?

After researching the codes you posted, I could only find only the last two, are you sure that the first two are in the correct sequence? however I did find a code P1117 and P1157.

Your stored codes P 131, P0134 are in reference to your 02 sensors, this may be due to faulty sensor input, ie: coolant sensors.

You will almost likely have to use a scanner to take the readings from your vehicle.

P0134 doesn't necessarily mean a sensor is 'bad'. Oxygen sensors on the exhaust detect emission irregularities caused by air/fuel ratios that are out of accepted parameters that are programmed into the...

Dont mean to be a prude but that diagnosis is incorrect. A fouled spark plug, vacuum leak, ect.. will not trigger this diagnostic code alone. If in fact you had a fouled plug or vacuum leak the P0134 code would be followed with another diagnostics code. If the P0134 code is the only code pulled then this code is triggered by the voltage of the o2 sensor being 3V or higher. The front heated oxygen sensor (or sensor 1) is placed into the exhaust manifold. It detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas compared to the outside air. The heated oxygen sensor 1 has a closed-end tube made of ceramic zirconia. The zirconia generates voltage from approximately 1V in richer conditions to 0V in leaner conditions. The heated oxygen sensor 1 signal is sent to the The ECM adjusts the injection pulse duration to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio. The ideal air-fuel ratio occurs near the radical change from 1V to 0V.

The causes for this code:
- Harness or connectors (The sensor circuit is open or shorted)
- Front Heated oxygen sensor (Bank 1) may be faulty

To correct this code:
- Replacing the O2 Sensor 1 usually takes care of the problem.
- Replace the damaged harness or connectors.
