SOURCE: location of knock sensor

Knock sensors can be difficult to locate because there usually buried under intake or exhaust manifolds and misc. engine wiring and plumbing. Knock sensors need to hear an engine knocking noise, therefore there usually located somewhere they can hear an engine knock. If it's a V6 then possibly it will be between the cylinder heads and access to them can only be attained by removing the intake manifold. I would suggest calling a Nissan Dealer parts person and ask them. Good luck.

Why does the temperature gauge reads hot when switch is turn on Nissan frontier 98

If your temperature gauge reads hot as soon as you turn the ignition on it's probably due to a faulty temperature sender. The link below may show you the location of that sensor:

nissan frontier temperature sender Google Search

The sensor is very easy to change. It just screws into the block. It may have a 'brass' appearance and have either 1 or 2 electrical wires attached.

To change it, simply disconnect the wire and then use a wrench to unscrew it.

2006 frontier camshaft position sensor

If you do not know where the Camshaft Position Sensor is located, then it would be safe to assume that you have not properly tested the sensor or the circuits that operate the sensor. Therefore, you cannot possibly know for sure that it even NEEDS to be replaced...so why are you looking to replace it?

2006 FRONTIER V6 IS IT POSSIBLE TO FLUSH COOLANT SYSTEM MYSELF IF MECHANICALLY INCLINED. IF SO CAN I USE PRESTONE 50/50 TO FLUSH.

Stick with the recomended glycol blend listed in your manual. There should also be a diagram for the drain plug location for the coolant. When you refill....make sure to bleed off any air that might interfere with your heating coil.

In cold weather, does not produce heat until engine is under load and on the road. Engine temp is fine. Coolant fine. Could it be the thermostat?

flush the radiator and cooling system and refill with fresh coolant and distilled water. i know during extreme cold temps, it will take a while but try some good maintenance and see if the situation improves. happy new year
