The engine light is telling you that the has found a fault in one of the sensors that it moniters and you have to run the fault codes to repair/ replace the faulty sensor.

Engine management light on and says de-pollution system faulty


Anon, sounds like it could be a misfire in engine, faulty plugs,coil,wire,injector, etc. can cause this. The codes will have to be scanned from cars computer by a good Technician, diagnosed properly and estimate repair.

Engine Light (Coil) Flashing, what does that mean? I cannot find my manual.


vw uses the coil light as a engine management light ,if this light is flashing you have a sensor that is faulty ,you will need to get the car pluged in because it could be any of the engine sensors.find somebody with vag com or the likes

hi, you will need to have the engine control unit fault memory check as this could be any thing from a faulty sensor to an air leak, regards mark.
