Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

you have a sensor or component going bad and every time you disconnect battery your resetting it but when computer cycles thru the bad part will set off the trouble light ---have the vehicle scanned for the code most auto places offer this service for free with the code you can fix the problem

WHY DOES THE SBS LIGHT COME INTERMITTLY

Sensors, tone rings, wiring, fuses or the actual module itself are all possible causes. If the front and rear wheels/tires are different sizes, that will also set of the ABS light...however since you said it comes on and goes off later, i would suggest checking the magnetic piece near the tone ring. Make sure it hasn't picked up a bunch of shaved metal or anything.

2002 pontiac grand am engine light comes on shortly after driving but goes off if you turn the car off then later start it back up car runs great though 82000 miles

the only way to know what is causing it is to have the computer scanned to see what code is causing the light to come on. Even if the light goes out the code should still be stored in the computers memory. Once you know the code post it and I can help you further.
