SOURCE: I have check engine ligth on the code is

P0560 System Voltage Malfunction
Check battery (load test) as well as all connections, cables
and wiring for cleanliness, tightness, etc.

Also, check charging system (including alternator output...it's possible you got a defective alternator).

SOURCE: 2002 Kia Sportage will not start.

p0560 is system voltage problem. open or short between the battery positive and the ecm.CHECK ALL FUSES. dosnt matter what they are labeled under dash and under hood replace any that are bad and retry to start. no start then check voltage to ecm grounds to. i dont have a wireing diagram to give you but for a small fee or free the dealer can make you a copy.make sure all the wires that go to battery terminals are not corroded and are making good contact [verified with volt meter]. if after all checks ok then replace ecm. as a side note i havent had to change one ever.

this code is set when the voltage to the ecm is not correct over an extended period of time-and indicates that the voltage regulator is not working properly. Your alternator is the issue, since the voltage regulator is internal to the alternator. Using a voltage meter (about $15 or less at virtually any auto parts store, get one that is digital) check your voltage when the car is not running (should be about 12.5 to 12.8 volts) and when running (should be 13.9 to 15.1 volts)-if it is outside these ranges, get a new alternator installed.

Have the battery checked and see if it is taking a charge. Also check the wires from the battery to the alt. and any ground wires. Your secondary air system fault may be a bad O2 sensor, post the code if you have it. There may be an air check valve that is shot or a bad/broken hose related to the system have a look at those as well.

    Code p0560

The P0560 is a fault code indicating a "system voltage malfunction" and will set the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light on the dashboard. This can be a result of a bad battery, charging system, sensor, etc.

Everything you'd want to know about this code can be found here.

    Good luck!
