Replace auto glass

Check Youtube for a video. Auto glass replacement - that should dredge up some help. Removing the interior door panel and getting to the window-glass support takes the most time in my experience.

So call an auto glass company & have them do that

You never see a repair shop or auto body shop do glass work,
why is that?

There are many glass companies that will come and replace it at your job or home, google auto glass repair with yoru zip and there will be a list, for example truimph auto glass, or JN Phillps auto glass, safelite auto glass.

Remove the door panel and replace the window regulator or effected/broken part.
May have to have glass properly installed in track at auto glass shop
Remove parts yourself.

most of the newer quarter glasses are urethaned in place and should be replaced by a glass shop because of special tools needed

remove the broken glass with putty knife. go to a auto glass shop they can sell you a replacement heated mirror glass. the new glass is just glued to plastic housing in mirror and just plug in 2 little wires to back of glass were heat element is.hope this helps good luck.

That dependso on if the housing itself is broken then yes. If the face plate that is attached to the mirror itself is flapping around then maybe. If it is just the mirror, just go to your neighborhood auto glass shop and but a "Ready-Cut" mirror for a small amount of money. they come already cut to fit perfectly. As for removing the old glass, take a very small flat screw driver and pry the glass away from the face plate. Once completely cleaned out use the adhesive from the ready cut and place them on the face plate. Next press the new mirror onto the flace pate, being careful not to press to hard or it will snap it in half.

Go to local auto glass shop or auto supply store. Order a new mirror (not expensive). Ask also for the proper adhesive.

Put on some thick gloves (use pliers if needed) and remove the old glass.
Remove old adhesive from the mirror frame.
Apply adhesive to frame
Put new part in place and hold for a few seconds (read adhesive instructions).

That is it.

Easer said than done! First remove all the window trim from the inside of the car remove all outer window mouldings. Next take your special tool {electric knife} and cut the kit (rubber under the glass) all of the way around the window. Then use your handels (suction cups) and remove the glass. Clean the leftover kit off the flange then clean the flange with a good solvent. Install the new kit and place the new glass on the kit. Brush the glass sealer on the flange kit and 1/8 inch of the glass. Replace all mouldings and trim very carefully. If the glass didn't brake or leak your done. Needless to say if you don't have the experionce with glass don't try it. Instead call AUTO GLASS SPECIALIST.

Turn the key on

Press the window switch, lower the window, continue to hold the window switch down for 15 seconds after the window is completely lowered Don't use the auto feature

Pull the window switch up, raise the window, hold the button up for 15 seconds after the window is fully up. don't use the auto feature

Try the auto down feature again, see if it now works.
