The lights in the switches are part of the switch and not replaceable separately, so in order to fix this you will need new switches. The switches are contained in what are called the right and left cruse control switch pods. They are available in the trim color of your car. the cost is about $100.00 for the two switches, the price varies by the color. Below is an illustration of the switches, they are marked 3 and 4 in the diagram.

Reverse lights not working

Somebody needs to check the function of the back-up light switch on or in the transmission. Be advised: on newer vehicles, the two wires for the back-up switch may be jumbled in with the harness connector for the transmission. On older vehicles it used to be a separate connection to the transmission.
I assume you have considered the bulbs may be burnt out? Not likely if they both quit working at once of course. Still, if you do check the bulbs, that is a good time to use a voltmeter and see if the bulb sockets have power when they should (key on, engine off, shift lever in reverse). If one or both sockets have power then, then it's just a matter of checking the socket and the ground for the socket. If no power to the socket, that's when you need to find and test the reverse light switch on the transaxle.

there is a reverse switch on top of the trans where the shift cable is attached. is there power to and through that switch while in reverse? the cyclops light needs the power interruption traced back from the socket to the switch on the brake pedal to find out where you have lost power or possibly taped into brake power at another brake light bulb socket

If they all stopped working at the same time then it is probably a fuse or possibly 2. Check your fuse panels in the dash and under the hood. The dash lights and gauges should be a fuse labeled instrument cluster or guages, it is probably blown. The other fuse to look for will be the tail light fuse. This is where I would begin.

2005 chevy suburban- my back-up lights and interior dome lights do not work. All fuses appear intact? Suggestions?

you bcm (body control module is bad) to have the dealer replace it will run you about $400. a quick fix for the reverse light is to splice 2 wires into the wire for the center plug in your trailer wiring. now run a wire up to each reverse light, cut the green wire to each reverse light and **** conect them up. this is a seperate revers feed than the one from the bcm. the dome lights remove the light cover on the second set of interior lights (the one between the drivers seats). the two side bulbs are map lights the center bulb is for the dome lights. run a jumper wire from the right or leftside socket to the center socket. you dome lights will now turn on with just the use of that switch i replaced the back bulbs with led's soo there is no extra amp's being drawn. you could bypass the bcm but i could not find any wiring diagrams for it and i dont know if it can take the added amp's
