2005 T&C brake light and turn signal dont work

Brake light and turn signal will not work but the light that comes on with headlights does. Fiddled with wires and didn't get any flicker or anything. What else should i check?

I have also had problems with the headlights only occasionally coming when switching them on. I got a letter from chrysler saying there is a recall on this issue, but i feel it may be a scam. Anyone else get one of these?

Replace the bulb with the one from the other side and see if it works. I bet the bulb is burnt.

SOURCE: REAR TURN SIGNALS WORK BUT MY BRAKE LIGHTS DONT

Replace the turn signal switch. If you want to prove this have someone stand behind the car with your foot on the brake. Then wiggle the turn signal lever. The brake lights should blink. This is a real common problem with W body. I have replaced two on my cutlass plus tons more at my shop.

Trailblazer no brake lights

As in the previous comments the brake switch wire goes to the turn signal switch and the third brake light. Since the 3rd brake light is working, the problem is in the turn signal switch. When the switch is centered, both brake lights have 12v to them. When you make a left or right turn, the switch has to switch connections between the turn signal blinker and the brake light circuit for the appropriate illumination of the proper light sequence. Buy a new turn signal switch and temporary plug it in. You will see the proper operation.

Check the grounds on your wiring.
If you have a trailer harness, make sure there are no shorts, or crusty connections

On 2002 jeep laredo brake lights dont turn on if lights arent on

That does not make any sense. Do the tail lights work? There are supposed to be separate filaments for brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals. In particular the center brake light should not be possible to be confused with tail lights or signals. Does it come on? If not, then you probably have no brake lights at all, and that is probably because of the bad fuse or the switch on the brake pedal for the brake lights.
If there is some sort of cross over between tail light and brake lights, that is usually from a bad light socket ground; which results in current backing up from one system to another. But then each is usually only half brightness.

Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.
