SOURCE: engine codes p0642 and p0451

P0451 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance

P0642 Engine Control Module (ECM) Knock Control -Defective
i think the most likely cause is the anti knock sensor ,this is mainly fitted to american models rather than europeon models owing to the europeon parliament disallowing the high level of biological produced fuel used in america, the answer o this i think is to see the post i have added to this questions answer.

code p 0113 refers to intake air temperature (AT) sensor ---circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring open circuit/ short to to positive ---wiring short to ground ---ground wire defective ---IAT sensor ---ECM code p 0123 refers to throttle position (TP) sensor A/ accelerator pedal position (AAP) sensor A high input=== causes ---wiring short to positive -- TP/APP sensor ---ECM
also refers to TP/AAP switch A--low input=== causes wiring short to ground --TP/AAP switch---ECM
code p 0508 refers to idle air control (IAC) system---circuit low===causes ---wiring short to ground ---IAC valve ---ECM

I changed everything on a 2007 Chevy uplander the camshaft position sensor And the purged sensor And the throttle body and still the check engine light and the reduce engine power came back on

Reduced Engine Power Mode When the ECM detects a condition with the TAC system, the ECM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
?€¢
Acceleration limiting--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.

?€¢
Limited throttle mode--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.

?€¢
Throttle default mode--The ECM will turn OFF the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.

?€¢
Forced idle mode--The ECM will perform the following actions:

-
Limit engine speed to idle by positioning the throttle position, or by controlling the fuel and spark if the throttle is turned OFF

-
Ignore the accelerator pedal input

?€¢
Engine shutdown mode--The ECM will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.
Did you have it checked for DTC's - diagnostic trouble code's related to the reduced engine power ?
All so has APP sensor gas pedal !
Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor
The accelerator pedal contains 2 individual accelerator pedal position (APP) sensors within the assembly. The APP sensors 1 and 2 are potentiometer type sensors each with 3 circuits:
?€¢
A 5-volt reference circuit

?€¢
A low reference circuit

?€¢
A signal circuit

The APP sensors are used to determine the pedal angle. The engine control module (ECM) provides each APP sensor a 5-volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The APP sensors provide the ECM with signal voltage proportional to the pedal movement. The APP sensor 1 signal voltage at rest position is less than 1 volt and increases to more than 4 volts as the pedal is actuated. The APP sensor 2 signal voltage at rest position is less than 0.6 volt and increases to more than 2 volts as the pedal is actuated.
Your best bet is take your vehicle to the dealer !

Where is the valve body on toyota rav4 2003 located

I would need visuals of the valve body, and for that year rav4 they are getting over on you with the price of the transmission.
The ECM replacment would have been the first thing I would have done, as the the ECM controls all the valve servos in the valve body.

most of the time it's not the body that goes bad but the servos or the wiring. But in your case, 99.9% positive your ECM shift control programming has gone bad.

Cause for po121

code p0121 refers to throttle position (TP)switch A/ pedal position (AAP) switch A-range/performance problem===causes --accelerator cable adjustment--TP/APP switch
PO121 also refers to TP sensor A/ accelerator pedal position AAP switch A -range / performance problem===causes --accelerator cable adjustment. TP/AAP sensor --wiring
Cheapest first is to check the cable adjustment then the cheapest part after that .

07 passat code p0642 related to other codes

code p0642 refers to ECM-knock control defective or sensor reference voltage A circuit low or system voltage- malfunction===causes for ecm is ECM--- for voltage A wiring is short to positive --- for system voltage ---wiring--poor connection--battery---alternator
code p2014 refers to intake manifold air control actuator position sensor/ switch bank 1 circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring --intake manifold air control actuator position sensor/switch
code p0106 refers to manifold absolute pressure MAP sensor/barometric pressure sensor-range/performance problem===causes--intake /exhaust leak--wiring--MAP sensor---Baro sensor.
code p0089 refers to fuel pressure regulator --performance problem===causes--fuel pressure regulator--mechanical fault. I would suggest that you have the battery load tested and the alternator checked for correct output as it may be the common reason for the codes .P0089 will not be electrical as it being a mechanical fault then the regulator needs replacing

P2138 code for a 2004 dodge ram 5.7 liter

Were the APP codes there BEFORE they replaced the BCM? APP codes usually are an indicator the throttle body needs to be replaced. As a precaution, some recommend to replace the throttle body AND the sensor on the gas pedal together. Unfortunately, this is a dealer only repair most o the time, since the ECM will have to be flashed to sync the new sensors.
