A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Sounds very much like a loose, or split pulley drive belt.
Open the bonnet and check, I am pretty sure this is where the problem lies.
You just need a new belt !
Good Luck !
Please give me a FixYa rating Please !

Your in the wrong Category, you may want to Post This in Car Repair, But I may be able to Help You if I had a Little more Info on this Vehicle: Like what Year it is, Actual Model, Engine Size...How Much can You afford? Factory Service Manuals are Expensive, but there are several Aftermarket Publishers that range in the $20 area...

First make sure that the
code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray,
glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .
If not then
POST ANOTHER QUESTION
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
There should be a 14 character Serial number beginning RN ++++++++++++ plus a Renault Security Number with the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode....so quote EVERYTHING you can find
If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
