The back up alarm is not working? when you hold the on/off button the light comes on but the alarm will always show ifs off. I use the truck backing into spots all the time, and its very helpful. Can...

Check the park aid sensor lens for damage or obstructions. If the lenses are OK, check the connector on the sensor on the back. There is a connector for each sensor ( at the sensor location ) and 1 connector for all sensors where it plugs into the harness.

The PAM ( Park Aid Module ) turning on and shutting off right away is a sign that the PAM cannot find the sensor(s) which is usually corrosion on the connector(s).

I have the rss reverse sensors and when i put the truck in reverse the light illumes off and the system wont alarm

Check the park aid sensor lenses for damage.

Next remove the park aid sensors ( remove from the back of the bumper ) and check for damage.

Check the connectors on the sensors for corrosion or damage.

The symptom you describe is usually the park aid module cannot test the sensors ( or they fail test )
