Leaking oil from between the engine and gearbox

The distributor is located right atop the trans and engine, it can leak oil and appear to be a main seal leak.

Otherwise, you have a bad crank seal if its oil, and bad trans seal if its trans fluid. In these cases the trans or engine has to be broken apart from one another.

You better hope for a leaky distributor, or even a leaky intake gasket by the distributor.

I have trans fluid out of trans dust shield. Replaced front seal

There is a brass bushing in the trans pump that could be worn. Verify easy things first like trans fluid temp and proper flow to the cooler. Restrictions and heat will cause that front pump seal to leak again.

I changed tranny filter and pan gasket, still leaks, possible inner seal? any suggestions?

need to identify where leak is coming from wipe clean bottom of transmission and check trans lines ,dipstick tube, rear seal ,pan for leak or drip start van and let run drive around block than park and recheck trans for leak if leak by where engine and trans meet than front seal anywhere else fix and or replace front seal two choices first can try a trans leak additive follow instructions carefully or need to pull trans to replace seal

Small oil leak coming from trans area

cant help you with the radio that sound like a wiring problem and thoose are hard to diagnose over a computer but the oil problem... if the oil is comming from the back of the engine were the trans meets then the rear main seal is leaking. You can do one of two things. Yo u can pull the trans and replace the seal on the engine or you can go to a parts store and get a bottle of "LUCAS" oil stop leak it will seal it up for you. and for the next 3 oil changes make sure you put a bottle in the oil. this will not harm the engine or any other componants in the car. i recomend "LUCAS" brand because its the only stop leak i've ever seen work so fast and i've never had anyh comebacks at my shop for this problem

1990 Ford F250 automatic dumped all transmission fluid. Is the trans cooler stopped up or a seal blown in the transmission?

Depends on where the actual puddle is at if it was towards the front of the truck you may want to check for a broken transmission cooler line. If it was towards the rear check the rear seal of the transmission. There is also a front pump seal that could be the problem check between the trans and engine where they mount together and see if its not leaking there if it is then it would be the front pump seal.

Automatic transmission seem to be slipping engine light is on could it be fluid? seems to be first gear.

very likely probably gear ratio error. Nag trans connector plug seals leak all the time take a peak under the car at the trans pan and look for evidence of red trans fluid on the pan. If so the plug seal is leaking.

Vacuum leak in dash- 97 areostar..

The leak is from the Vacuum Motors on the Air Distribution Box for the Climate Control system. Please go back to your transmission and check it for Trans Fluid in the Vacuum line going to the Trans Vacuum Module. The Module will be on passenger's side of trans near the Trans Pan, there may be a shield covering it. Pull the line off the module & see if fluid comes out

1994 saturn sl2 automatic, with really bad oil leak.

There are only two paths for oil there. The rear main, and a oil galley plug a little higher up, about 2 o'clock.
