2003 Buick Rendezvous Serpentine Belt

When it rains a lot or it's wet outside, my serpentine belt squeals when idling. When I am accelerating there's no issue at all. When it's dry outside there is also no issue.

I would think your belt might be stretched and need replaced. If you look at your belt tensioner there should be lines that indicate proper wear position. If the line is all the way to one side and not in the middle it indicates that the belt is too long.

Testimonial: "I checked the tensioner and it looked fine. So, I bought a new belt, and no noise at all, even though the old belt didn't look worn at all. So I'll just keep the old one as a back up in case anything happens. "

SOURCE: Serpentine Belt

Generally there is a sticker under the hood, showing belt routing. If not, get a cheap (usually under $20) manual... not only will you learn belt routing, but tips on tensioner adjustment, necessary to replace belt. Even a cheap manual includes lots of stuff you may need to know in the future!

SOURCE: diagram for 1998 buick lasabre serpentine belt

I found the diagram in my owner's manual.
I replaced the belt on mine just 2 days ago. All you need to do is remove one bolt from the lower motor mount and remove the spacer. After you relieve the belt tensioner, the belt will slip right through the gap. Don't forget to support the engine before removing the bolt. As a backup I took a photo of the belt with my digital camera beforehand... just in case.

What would cause whistling noise near pully and belt area noise gets louder with acceleration

The engine serpentine belt may be worn or wet. The belt slips, causing a high pitched squealing or whistle noise. The other possiblility is a bearing beginning to go out on one of your belt driven components

High pitch squeal when idling

Is it worse when cold or wet? Could be a lose or worn serpentine belt, or a bad tensioner.
Check belts for any cracks on it (check both sides, inside normally cracks first)
Check tension of the belt, with your fingers you should be able to twist the best roughly 45 degrees, if it's a lot more than that check the tensioner, try tightening the bolt to add tension.

My 1999 jeep cherokee belt squeals very loud when giving it gas and chirps a little when idleing

If you get the squealing noise even when car is not running, and if noise get louder when you push the accelerator pedal, then it is the serpentine belt.

You may need to put the belt in tension, or to replace it.

My Serpentine belt is squealing above idle

first thing you need to do is get a new belt that belt dressing just destroyed that belt that stuff is no good then get a new belt tensioner clean all the pullys with some brake clean then install the belt tensioner and belt if its still sqealing there maybe a pully making the noise to check that when you have the belt off spin them by hand and listen to them and feel for any play in the bearings
