Question about Cars & Trucks
Hello i am trying to find out where i can get a fuel send unit for my 1967 Catalina or if someone can tell me what sending unit will fit my car. Please help thank you
I would think any full size GM from that era will work. As long as the tanks are in the same location an of the same size. Bonneville, Impala, caprice, and it looks like 1966 to 1969.

The oil pressure sending unit is located behind the oil filter, Threaded into an aluminunm housing. It has wiring that plugs into the sending unit. The oil filter has to be removed and you will need a deep well socket and a 6 inch extension. Change the oil and the sending unit together.

you should have two metal bands/strapes hold the tank in place, a bolt on each end of the strapes. disconnect the fill neck, supply and return lines, the wires for the pump and sending unit. if possible get the fuel level as low as you can. gas is heavy. lift the car up as far as you can, i say 2 and a half to 3 feet off the ground. a car lift is even better. the fuel pump will be held in place with a ring, use a hammer and punch to drive the ring counterclockwise to remove. don't let any dirt go into the tank.
