High idle

It's probably one of two things , a vacum leak or a bad ground.

Toyota Rav 4 1997 .Check engine comes on .Codes are P0301,302,303,304116 . What to do.

The engine coolant temperature is high. Your other Codes are for missing cylinders on cylinder 1,2,3,and 4. Get the Codes cleared and start over. Changing the plugs and wires, etc could have generated the missing cylinder Codes.

Autozone,Advance, and Oreilys will scan for free.

Check your engine for an IDLE SPEED CONTROL SOLENOID, which may be in the intake. Or a fuel pressure regulator.

A lot of times people work on the spark side and forget the fuel injectors. They can cause a miss.

I have 1990 ford f150 5.8 liter it idles high when in park and idles about 1200 rpm when in gear and sometimes surges up and down. i have clean the idle control and check showing 12.5 ohms still won&#

One common problem is a vac leak or a sticking throttle plate.
The computer controls idle speed by how much air is allowed into the intake. The idle control valve could be sticking even tho you have cleaned it, or have a faulty motor.

iac motor could be bad. also check the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it isn't leaking fuel out of the vacuum connection and allowing it to **** back into the intake.

The idle on my 1995 oldsmobile cutless supreme is runing high at about 2000 rpm while in park and 1500- 1800 while at a stop sign. how do adjust it, i have replaced the idle control module located on the...

Probably a vacuum leak at the intake manifold,or an o-ring at one of the injectors.
if you spray carb cleaner around the sealing edge of the manifold and at the injectors and the idle changes ,you found the leak.
The plactic intakes are prone to this problem.

Oldsmobile Delta 88, Idles High on Cold start with DTCs

Sounds like a vacumn leak. Gasket under intake plenum may be leaking. Be sure the pcv valve has the o-ring around it in the correct place also as it will set a code.

Idleing way high in park, also stals when driving and give to much throttle

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak. You should have a diagram printed on a sticker under the hood that shows all the hose locations. Also, the idle air control on these motors can get dirty from carbon and hang open or fail entirely.

Will not idle

Drive it up to a parts store with a tester and see what it shows. Have you replaced the fuel filter?

When i turn on the A/C my f150 will not idle. At traveling speed, runs fine. Stop at red light, truck dies

Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
