On the drivers side of the engine bay you will find the brake master cylinder, behind the master cylinder is the brake booster. It is what the master cylinder is actually attached to. There should be a vacuum hose attached to the booster that goes directly to the engine. See if this is the source of the air noise when the car is running. If so, just find out where the end of the hose used to be attached and re-install it.

SOURCE: location speed sensor pt cruiser 03 touring car do

It sounds like the module is in limp mode. The speed sensor is most likely the cause, but it can be some other things as well. A scan will give a code stating the problem area.

The speed sensors are on the side of the trasmission that faces the front of the vehicle. There are 2 of them, and they are the same sensor. One is an input speed sensor located closest to the engine, the other is the output speed sensor.

Brake pedal hard to push in on 1981 Ford F 100 what cause that

A hard brake pedal is caused by a failed and leaking vacuum diaphragm in the power brake vacuum operated booster. Another reason is loss of vacuum to the brake booster, buy you should hear a loud sucking noise, also the 3/8" vacuum hose can collapse from age check that as well.

Hi, I started my 2001 chrysler pt cruiser this morning, the engine started and the tachometer revved to 2000 to 3000 rpms. The brake pedal was also hard to press down to stop the car. I drove the car and...

Check for a vacuum leak. Rubber hoses which do not carry any liquids, but provide a vacuum feed for various purposes.
One such purpose is the brake power booster. A loss of vacuum 'pressure' will affect braking performance and also idle speeds of engine. These are affected more so when engine is relatively cool, improving some when warmed up.

Vacuum tubes/hoses are usually connected to the intake manifold or the mass air flow sensor. The round metal part between the air filter and the intake manifold is the mass air sensor.
Look for tubes which have come loose or worn open or just cracked and dry rotted. Sometimes you can cut the tip off and reseat the tube. Otherwise just replace it. Any auto parts store will have what you need.

Idle goes up and down, check engine light on, brakes hard to push

Check engine for vacuum leaks at all hoses, hose connections, intake gasket etc. I have also seen retarded engine timing produce low vacuum. If no leaks, check anything in control system that controls timing...however, I believe you will find a leak before you need to go there. Also check Idle control valve and egr valve for malfunction or blockages.
