Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Does not shift first to second unless I let off the gas.

When I drive down the road my Blazer does not shift from first to second unless I let off the gas. In addition, I can not manually shift it using the shift lever.

I'm having the same exact problem I have a 1998 blazer 4wd and it won't shift unless I let off the gas then it will go into second gear. I'm able to go into reverse and everything it's just having to let up off the gas.

2000 chevy blazer passenger front wheel noise

driving in 4wd on hard surfaces produces what is known as torque wind up as the wheels cannot slip so the variations of distance going around corners , dips in the road etc place considerable strain on the transmission , transfer case , drive lines and diffs
that is why it is difficult to get out of 4wd unless you drive with 2 wheels on a grass verge to relieve that torque wind up
as for the noise check wheel bearings and the cv ("U") joint at that wheel as there appears a proble where the dog teeth in the hub are not engaging properly or are jumping out of engagement

Hi, I own a 1999 Chevy Blazer. The guy I bought it from said it has ****** problems. When I shift it through the gears it clicks like it is going into gear. I can drive it down the road but I cannot d

Check your shift cable it may be stretched or broken.Located on drivers side of tranamission.Have someone else shift thru the gears while someone looks at the shift lever on the side of the transmission to see if it shifts into and out of all of the gears. If it shifts in and out of all the gears then the cable is good and you have a internal problem. If it does'nt shift in and out of all gears then replace the shift cable.

Wont start unless you pour gas down throutle body on 2001 chevy blazer

You'll need to see if your fuel pump is providing fuel pressure. First test would be to take off fuel cap, listen through filler tube as someone turns ignition on for a few seconds, then off for a few seconds. Repeat a few times you should hear the fuel pump start then stop as it builds pressure.

No noise, then test voltage coming to pump if yes, 12 volts, replace fuel pump. Test ground also before replacing pump.

I would expect it to be this as the computer wouldn't allow the vehicle to run with fuel being poured into the engine otherwise.

If it's pumping, you will need to do pressure testing to determine if it pumps enough, or just replace it as either just the pump, or the complete pump assembly that drops into the tank rather easily.

Pumps are available at dealers OEM, discount auto parts stores, and I've had good luck with pumps that I've bought on eBay.

good luck
