Hi all,I've got a 1999 Pontiac Firebird and I need step by step instruction (please) on how to replace the spake plugs. The engine is a 3.8

You have to get 3 of the plugs from underneath the car, and you will also need extensions and a swivel-joint . Good luck, it's a tough job! 3-5 and 6 you must get out from under the car. 1-2 and 4 you should be able to change these under the hood.

1994 toyoata hilux 22r engine wont idle it stalls an when put in drive it stalls too engine shakes an sounds like its got a miss done sparkplugs leds an distributor an info to help wot may be plz ?

Try spark plug wires.. Pull off one spark plug wire at a time to see which cylinder is not firing. When you find one not firing change the wire to another plug.. both ends dist and plug end. If problems travels to new location the plug wire is at fault. if it does not travel there is something wrong with that cylinder. Could be something as simple as a fuel filter. R22 is one of the best engines ever.

No start

If you have spark to a spark plug wire, you have ignition. So, is there fuel? If so, then it is TIMING, Crank Sensor or Coil. On the Sebring 2.5 there is a crank sensor. It tells the computer where the engine is (timing) and will keep the engine from running or running right. Remember that coil inside the distributor. It has two sides, the ignition side and the coil side. if that ignition side is failing, and even though you have a spark at the plug, the ignition will not happen (won't "catch") So, COIL? Crank Sensor? Still in all, Computer Codes really help. You're getting down there. Good luck then!

Wot is the major service mileage for a ford transit rear weel drive on a 2004 plate, and does it have a timeing belt or chain belt thanks.

Check the wiring harness, you will have to get under the truck. Its gonna be a wire that all your lights share like a ground wire or a dirty harness plug.

Chevrolet Caprice 1986 Cylinder Numbering

Looking at the engine your number 1 cylinder is the front right, number 2 is front left. The right side is 1-3-5-7, the left is 2-4-6-8. As for the number 1 on the distributor it is at the 5 o'clock position (there should be a number 1 or a long dash by that spark plug wire). Firing order is clockwise 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Do I need special tools to replace spake plugs on

Super easy to do but I wouldn't replace the wires unless you know one is malfunctioning (very rare and the stock wires are fine 100k+). For the plugs I'd recommend not going with the bosch plugs, if you really want platinum pick up a set of the ngk or the factory delcos (ngk makes the oem plugs). Here are some part #'s, you can just call a napa with the stock # and they should have them, I'm guessing you have a 00+ tahoe with a 4.8/5.3? They all work the same for any of the lsx truck motors.
2003 CHEVROLET TAHOE 5.3 V8 T FI
Spark Plug_________Part No.____Stock No.___Plug Gap
V-Power___________TR5_______2283______.040
G-Power___________TR5GP_____3186______.040
Laser Platinum______PTR5D-10___3784______.040
OE Laser Iridium_____ITR5F13____6044______.040
Iridium IX __________TR5IX______7397______.040

Plugs are really easy to do, just get a few angles and a few length extensions for a 3/8" ratchet and it will be done in no time. Take your time and be careful not to drop the plugs make sure you screw the plugs in by hand first, and after a couple of turns you can put the socket/wrench on there.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Code 301, random or cylinder 1 misfire

Spake pluge could have gone bad, or the Spark Plug wire. Try changing all your plugs and wire and inspect the old one's. The wire could be bad do to time or may have been against the exhaust manifold and brunt. Good luck
