SOURCE: Check Engine Light Toyota Corolla

What is the mileage on that car? If the MAF sensor would be acting up, you get tip in acceleration hesitation, it sounds like the Air bypass valve is having issues. Replace it. Do not clean it just replace it.

Code P0031 says replace B1 S1

On a front to back engine b1 is the drivers bank. On a transverse engine b1 is the front bank ( b1 has cylinder 1, b2 has cylinder 2 in a v type configuration) s1 is always between the engine and the catalytic converter. Usually in the exhaust manifold or the down pipe.

With it being non standard that could be a tuff one without seeing it. First thing is note codes and then clear them. Road test with live data and see what the fuelling and fuel pressure is doing, if the fuel pressure is all over the place That could be root cause and maybe a good service inc fuel filter will help( though I suspect that you look after a modded car ok anyway). If that if you get those codes back you may have a loom or ecu fault. See if they share a common earth or feed would be another thing to look at. Vw cars are always finicky about emission related faults so the mods may not be helping.

1989 Bentley Arnage Green Label flat service battery last week - replaced but draining that really quickly - any thoughts on fault ?

All the ECUs only go into power saving sleep mode if the car is locked using the remote. If the key is used or the car is left unlocked the ECUs retain maximum current draw.

It's a service interval reminder light that you should take your car to acura and have them perform the "b1" service. I would ask for an estimate first, and ask what that service includes. You may be surprised to find necessary and unecessary services. Some people view the b1 light as a way for Acura to get you car in there, quite possibly be charged for things you could probably do yourself.

I have a 2005 ford escape battery light came on ,is it true u have to take egine out ,to get to it??

Do an ECU drain first. ie disconnect battery for 30 secs. foot the brake and reattached battery thereafter. If battery check light appeared again, disconnect battery while engine is on. If engine dies, you have an alternator problem - replace it. If engine remains on, you have a voltage regulator problem.
If battery check light disappeared, ECU drain resets sensors thus fixed your problem.
