Case 550C. Just got it back from $2,300 in repairs but tractor has no power to climb hill. Will barely lift bucket. Maybe timing?


If it is a gasoline Case...for sure! I have no idea what you spent the $$$ for but if it was for a tune up you got screwed. Check the distributor, rotor, plugs and timing. If it is a diesel it definitely is timing.

When i on my gas the car stutters and climbing hill it barely make it up


Check for codes if no codes there is a good possibility you have a vacuum leak. You may also have the fuel pressure checked, the fuel filter, and the air filter all of these may cause the problem. Out of all of these only the fuel pressure being low MAY throw a code, the rest shouldn't.

I have a 2001 grand prix gt 3.8 down to 15 mpg possible egr valve bad how do i check it has no power and barely climbs hills


Catalytic converter may be clogged. If engine light is on use the ODB-II code reader to find code. OR you could try disconnecting the cat from the Y pipe. Only do this if you can free up the bolts or have new bolts to replace broken ones. If you separate this part of the exhaust, fire up the engine take for a drive. If you have all power back then thats your problem. This experiment is loud though but worth it.

Power fadded over a few days now its dead. Fuel Pump?


It's quite possible to ruin a fuel pump by letting it run dry, especially if it already has years of use. When you first turn on the key, leave the door open and see if you can hear a high pitched whine for about three seconds. That would be the pump priming the system. If you don't hear it, then the pump isn't working. Be sure to turn the key of for about 10 seconds before you try listenng again(it has to reset). It can be hard to hear, especially over the key buzzer.

I have a 2003 ford escape. Check engine light came and my code showed P1405 code. Replaced EGR valve and sensor. Code does not show up on pocket scanner, but the escape stills loses power and will barely...


On alot of cars you must erase the code after repairs,the code is pending in the memory and can still run bad till cleared.try clearing the code

Starts and idles fine. Very little power off idle. Will barely climb an incline.Exhaust is clear and fuel pressure is at spec


Check your maff sensor and if that checks out you might also want to check your egr, pcv and oxygen sensor. If you find no problems there.... check your battery and make sure it is fully charged and in good working order....a problem with the charging system can also cause these symptoms.
