Question about 1988 Ford F 150
1988 Ford F150 5.0L. 2WD Auto. I recently had a leak from the thermos stat and it put antifreeze all over my engine compartment. after I fixed that I started getting a misfire, but, only at idle. according to my Haynes manual it said to check the ground wire on the coil with a test light and that it should flash. well I did that and mine came on solid and stayed bright. First I checked the resistance on the wire and that was OK so I replaced the ignition module and I still have the misfire. I also used my tester and it tells me that everything is fine. The spark plugs are new and I checked the gap on all of them again. the wires, cap, rotor, coil, air filter, fuel filter and EGR valve are all new aswell. any ideas to fix it will be tried. thanks
