You might have a bad deceleration sensor or possibly a bad connection between the sensor and the module.

Try disconnecting the batery for 15 minutes and reconnecting. Keep in mind, this resets ALL computer inputs and may re-appear after 30 miles or so.

I am having a multiple cylinder misfire on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5L V6. Every cylinder is reporting a mifire. Each cylinder has it's own coil. I highly doubt that all 6 coils went bad at once. Does anyone have any idea what my be causing this?? Is that the problem you two are having?

My Mitsubishi colt automatic car runs fine but light comes on fault code 1867 I cleared fault but as soon as you switch off engine and back on again the light stays on again

How did you clear the fault? By using a code reader and clearing it or by disconnecting the battery? That only erased the fault from the ECM memory. That fault code is specific to Mitsubishis, so I have no idea what it means. But if the problem that set the code originally has not been corrected, it will set the code (and turn on the light) as soon as you try to use the car again.

Have the codes read for the engine/transmission. Certain engine codes will turn on the VSC and Trac lights.

Why is my vsc and slip indicator light on?

what were the code numbers you gave me code c1336 This means there is a zero point calibration code unfone. So you need a zero point calibration needs to be reset with a scan tool.

You can't turn out the vehicle speed control/traction lights without a scanner/code reader. The light is on because it has detected a problem with this system. The ABS controls the VSC. You need to have the codes scanned and determine what is at fault

Vsc code c1336

That code relates to a crankshaft position sensor signal. It you have a check engine light come it disables the VSC and Trac system. Until you get that sensor fixed the VSC and the TRAC system will be inop. So whenever you have a check engine light come on that is what you will see. Even though you cancel the check engine light the fault still exists and the VSC/ TRAC light will come back on. That is a sure way to tell that something is wrong.

Vsc light and traction control

When the VSC and trac light comes on, Your vehicle enter a fail safe function the ECU rejects any open request from the VSC system and your vehicle operate regardless of ABS,TRAC, and VSC. Having it cleared without corrections will allow the light to come on. If the VSC is seeing a large over steer the VSC and trac light comes on.(even if its under steer). If the ABS ,Trac is correct you will need to seek zero calibration. This is done through the DLC connection in the hood. The easy way to reinitial lize steering angle is done by keeping steering wheel in the straight ahead position (driver window down) disconnect the negative battery, and reconnect , turn key on . The other way is to go to the engine and find the DLC again driver window rolled down steering wheel in the straight ahead position. do not shake the vehicle you must be on a true level ground. No heavy load in the vehicle and no entering the vehicle untill this is complete Turn the key on at this point you will do everything through the window you cannot enter the vehicle.in the hood where the DLC is at you will short pin Ts and CG with a paper clip 4 times repeatedly within 8 seconds. There the VSC will go to zero point.Turn key off (again turn ignition off through the window) make sure you remove the shorting out of Ts and CG. Now your done. 10_13_2011_4_27_16_am.gifFor Rav4 use you DLC 3 its under the driver dash.As for the pin location its on the cover of the DLC 3

I replaced my battery and now I have a engiine light vsc light and 4wd light warning no throttle response and problem code p2118. checked all fuses all good. any ideas please help.

Tests/Procedures: 1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor/deceleration sensor. Potential Causes: Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration
Tech Tips: Code C1336 is for Deceleration sensor zero point calibration undone. To perform zero point calibration, have the steering wheel in the straight ahead position and have the vehicle on a level surface within an inclination of 1%. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Use a jumper wire and connect terminals TS and CG of Data Link Connector (DLC) 3. Turn the ignition switch ON. Keep the vehicle stationary on a level surface for 2 seconds or more and verify that the VSC warning light blinks. Diagnostic Codes: C1336

I have a 2000 landcruiser and the check engine, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF. The vehicle is running good. Can you help?

It seems that any time the check engine light comes on with this vehicle, the VSC TRAC and VSC OFF lights will also come on all at the same time...

The first thing I would do is go to an Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and have them pull the fault codes from the computer. It's usually a free service, and 'some' of the people are knowledgable enough to point you in the right direction, as far as what caused the light(s) to come on in the first place. In some cases, simply having them clearing the fault codes will fix the problem, and you may not see it come up again, at least not for a long time.

Recently, can you remember driving the vehicle with the gas cap off? That will set a code. (Easy fix again, by clearing it.)

Nevertheless, see what code was set and go from there. I'll be happy to help you solve your problem if this doesn't cure it!

Take care and I hope this helps! :)
