there are no bolts on side of tail lamp. The blinker is blinking fast, the left rear signal does not flash. I am having a mechanic friend come in a few days so I will let you know the solution. hopefully.....

I do have the same problem. yesterday I checked, because the left turn signal was blinking fast and I noticed that the left rear turn bulb is not lighting at all. Now, I am trying to find out what the problem is and I guess I will also need to change that bulb as well.
please let me know if somebody knows the answer. thank you very much.

if it's only the rear turn signal that does this, check the plug where the bulb snaps in. if loose or bad connection to bulb, it will sometimes work and sometimes not. if its both the front and rear turn signal bulbs, could be the combination switch. these were common failures on fords

remove the trim panel at the very rear of trunk, remove it and place it out of the way, remove tail light Assembly retaining nuts top and bottom, I think there are 6 per side, pull the tail light assembly straight back to access the bulbs for replacement.
