How does one reset the Electronic. control module in a Mazda 160 iE. The fuel pump went defective but is now replaced . Fuse and the relay tested good not defective. Therefore, I suspect the ECM .

When you first turn the key on the fuel pump runs for 2 seconds to prime the system also . PCM does not go into protection mode , no such thing . Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . You have not the knowledge to fix this ! The PCM will only energize the fuel pump relay when it sees a signal from the crankshaft position sensor ,while cranking the engine or for the two second prime.

ok, just the Highbeam cluster lamp
the cluster has fuses test them first?
DLR is canada, are you there,or car is? for canada market?
(unique wiring there) we are USA forum and cars, and wiring
ever see the free schematics, posted here 100s of time?
ZJ jeep is its name , as seen here, under wiring.

DRL , is a problem of many cars, it makes that which was very simple now complex. On many the wire pins like to melt on the DLR module. (looking first, is always a good idea , for obvious damage)

Chapter 8w covers all wring, best is to have the book or PDF on it.
DLR /Dimming module.
Page 8w-40 -9 clearly shows, the Cluster hi beam lamp
has 2 pins, is ground G100 , the runs many things there.
the turns cluster indicators, go dead with g100 busted.
pin 1 for the HI beam indicator goes to the DLR/dim module
so 8w-44-13 shows (and next pages) show it all
i invite you to look and read. it
first item of interest is fuse 24, powers this modules logic
8w-50-10 is head lamps with DRL, called front lighting, chapter.
says right there"canada only"
Fuse 19, is also needed.
to see that page above, and all of 8W50 (front, lites, canada)
you need Adobe Reader installed, to read PDF books.

my guess is fuse 24, did you check all fuses first.
if the DRL works, and id does run the highbeams BTW

if the cluster bulb is good
an no 12vdc to it, as you said ops you said DLR are dead
well sure.
the DLR must have all imputs good for the module to work
ill list them
hand brake switch working, is it?
brake failure lamp switch working? page 8w-40-7 see it?
the later switch is DRL only switch on MC.
put in a usa switch and dRL goes dead.
there is more, but ill stop
check all pins on the DRL modules of fall fuses are good
to see that all inputs are good
if they are, the Hi-beam indicater wire there goes to 12vdc.

I have some knowledge or cars . is this something i can do myself

Before Gem removal, You need to upload gem configuration into diagnostic tool, when new gem is in place, download configuration from diagnostic tool into new gem. According to my info, it's not a simple remove/replace. Just between you and me, I don't have those type diagnostic tools. I'd take it to the shop. Just my opinion.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions but we can't figure out what the problem is we've changed two censors the TCM an a module under the center console also changed the transmission fluid an filter and...

Is it difficult to accept that your car is defect and you don't have the knowledge nor the skills to repair it?
As a tech it is not the first time someone wants to drain my knowledge I build up in years, is less then 10 seconds.
But not knowledge and skills alone are enough to find what is wrong. Most of the time I want to see the defective device and at least try to switch it on and do some tests myself. And then most of the time I know where to look, but still don't know what the culprit is to the point.
Like when you can't put it in a gear, because you feel a lever is broken. What lever, when you know 4 are needed to the end point. to simplify an hypothetical failure.
Please save yourself a lot of time and stress and consult a tech.

Hi expert I recently bought a Mazda familia bj5p 2001 model automatic transmission car its gear changes to 4th at speed 60km/hour(but according to my knowledge in other AT vehicles it occur at 50km/h) is...

Yes, this is normal. As long as the car is not slamming into gears or revving to a scream (unless you have the pedal to the floor), this will save you wear and tear on the transmission in the long run.

2005 chevy classic cranks but wont start already changed ignition modual what next has good fuel pressure please help

Do you have any vehicle knowledge or experience?
Are you working in your driveway?
If so,why did you change the module? No parts get changed without an understanding of what they do, and some testing. Only change things when they fail a test.

There is no specific,"What Is Next". Every technician, has their own sequence they follow, when diagnosing an issue.

No fuel injectors, intermittently

With the key on, do you have voltage at fuel injector, use a test light?
Engine cranking do you have spark at the spark plugs? I'm just trying to see if you have more than one problem? I don't know how much testing you have done?
Is there a purple wire with white tracer at ignition module, Engine cranking, there should be a dc pulse on that wire? If not, the computer won't ground the fuel injectors. In my opinion.
