My 2004 Chevy Tahoe ran out of gas now it won't start

This being an 12 model year old vehicle, doesn't surprise me. Fuel pumps are small, but powerful. They use the gasoline in the tank to cool themselves, believe it or not. Newer pumps can survive one or two "dry runs", but older ones tend to fail when this happens. Test the pump this way:

In a quiet location, turn the key to the "on" position, but don't go all the way to "start". Listen carefully for a low-pitched buzz or hum for about three to five seconds from the gas tank area. If you don't hear that, then the pump is not running. When you first turn the key, the pump does a 3-5 second "priming" to bring fuel pressure up so the car can start on the first attempt.

But, before rushing to replace a fuel pump (they're hard to access, and not cheap to replace), check the fuel pump relay and fuse first. The fuse more likely than the relay, but it could be that simple.

Check your Fuel Lines and your Fuel Pump. (I just fixed a problem with my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Fuel Return Line).

Also remember that in Rodeos, as soon as you turn your car key to turn the ignition on (just to make the dashboard lights go on) a certain amount of gasoline gets pumped to your engine in preparation of you turning the key all the way to crank the ignition and start the car. In other words, even before you turn the key all the way to crank the ignition, the Fuel Pump will pump some gasoline through the Fuel Lines to your engine (it will pump the gasoline for about 4 seconds then stop). So when you go to start your Rodeo, remember to turn the key with one continuos motion so that you start the ignition cranking while the gasoline is being actively pumped.

In addition, you should never turn the ignition lights on without turning the key all the way to start the engine. Doing so could cause that bit of gasoline that was pumped to start the engine to just sit there and create problems.

Won't start but engine is crank my jeep model 1993 fuel gasoline

Make sure that when you turn the ignition key on that you see the check engine light does light up on the dash, before you try cranking the engine. If no check engine light is on, the jeep won't start. If the check engine light is on and it still won't start then it could be your crank sensor, fuel pump or a host of other problems not allowing it to start.

How do you check to see if fuel pump went bad on 2004 Nissan Tita

Careful doing this. Disconnect the fuel filter line between the tank and the filter. Have a bucket or equivalent below to catch incomimg gasoline pouring out. Have some one turn the ignition key to on. Do Not Try and turn the key to START!! Just turn the key to the ON position. This will kick in the oil switch to feed gas to the engine for 5 seconds. If gas comes out the pump works. Reconnect the filter and try again. If no start is happening still disconnect the fuel filter's line towards the front of the engine this time. Turn the key ON. If gas comes out the filter is fine. If not the filter is clogged up fully

Shuddering during acceleration at low speeds/hard to start

there is a few things that could be wrong. 1: check if your fuel filter is clogged or your fuel pump is clogged or just going bad. i would check the filter first, only cause its alot cheeper. 2: check if your o2 sensors are bad and needs replaced. 3: check if your air mass sensor is bad. i would check the easiest first and the pump last.
