Question about Cars & Trucks
I bought a used 2002 town and country. My engine light had come on. Then while driving is felt as if the car was kind of surging. Felt kind of like the wind was blowing my car while driving. Then my car started to slow down. Every gear was the same. It stopped in the road way. Then I felt the gears go back in so I got off the road. My fluid was fine for the level and looked good. So I decided to drive on. I was able to drive a couple of miles more than it did the same thing. They were able to drive my car up on the tow trailer when they got there. And we drove it off too. The shop got 19 error codes. He cleared them and I took the car home. Drove it over 30 miles. When I drove into driveway it did the same thing. I am not fully convinced that I need another transmission. The only noise I heard was it sounded kind of like a car steering when it is low on fluid. Do you have any suggestions?

see my comments, not 100% sure that it was the out put speed censor or not, but after reconnecting the wires to a new censor and reconnecting the battery and clearing codes it worked. connection was not clipped may have been loose

Have you checked your belts? A piece of belt may have come off and been slapping under your hood, and then fell off completely. While it was slapping, your computer would have detected the slow down of pulleys etc. and caused your engine light to come on. Then when the piece broke off, everything would be back to normal. Let me know!

SOURCE: steering wheel violently shakes.
that is usually caused by bad engine mount this condition usually changes the distance of the cv joint and the differential which cause the cv joint to shake. also check your ball joints.
