where is the blower located on a 2001 dodge caravan? do you have to take the dash apart or do you just look under the dash on the passenger side?

My van blower fan only works when turned to highest level...otherwise nothing... I was thinking it was in the fan control, but this sounds like the same resistor problem... maybe?

It's the blower motor resistor , it's behind the glove compartment, just make sure you disconect the neg. for battery first, open the glove comp. and pull the rubber stops towars the center so you can let the glove comp. hang all the way to the floor , the resistor it's in front of you, disconect the two conectors there's one big with 6 0r 8 wires coming out and another with only two, take them out by pressing on the side of each one, remove it , put the new one on , conect the battery and your done. it's about $ 13.00 at o'riellys auto parts .

I hope this fix yor problem.

Most likely a blower motor resister. When a blower motor runs on high only the resister is usually bad. The resister does just that, it resists the current flow to the blower motor, should be near or at the heater box under the dash on the passenger side on the van, not hard to replace.

A/C on caravan only works on high

There is a front-rear blower motor relay control that is involved in the circuits. This control module could be the problem. The blowers bypass the resistors to run on high speed.
You may have to get a repair manual with detailed wiring diagrams to trace the circuits.

The front heater/air conditioner blower stopped

First check the voltage at the front blower moter. If it has voltage then it may just need a new motor.

Have 2001 grand caravan sport 3.3L and the fan switch will only work in the high position, what may be the reason for this? THANKS

sounds like it is the blower fan resistor, there is a wire for every speed of the blower motor. so if a wire burns out, you will loose that speed. the resistor is located behind glove box.

Sounds like you need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. It is located on the bottom of the heater box about where the passengers left foot would rest, behind glove box. It has 2 screws holding it on.

Blower motor only works on high.

you can go to Alldata.com to subcribe to the factory manual, but you need the blower motor resistor, a dealer item. And typically its located by the blower mounted to the blower housing.

Air conditioning only works on high - 2002 Grand Caravan

If you are looking for the fan blower resistor, it is located behind the glove box. No tools need to get to it and a nut driver to remove the 2 screws to replace it. A 20$ part. It has 2 sets of wires coming off of it. A do it yourself fix.
