SOURCE: 200 Cougar blowing headlight fuses

First look for a short or where a wire is exposed and fix that with electrical tape.

If you can not find it, then often I will put a Re-set fuse that does not blow but resets and costs about $5 at Autozone.

Good luck, J

SOURCE: My left headlight is out, and don't know if it's

If only the left headlight is out it is most likely a bulb. Look under the hood in the area where the bulb would appear to be and you should see a pair of wires going into it. Remove that wiring connector and there should be a lock ring around where it went in. Turn that lock ring counter-clockwise until it released and remove it. Coax the bulb out - it should be held in by a rubber seal. For a quick check - pull the wire off the other side and plug the loose bulb into it and turn the headlights on. Don't touch the glass - it can get hot quickly. The bulb should be a 9005 bulb available at any parts store. Installation is just the reverse of taking it out. It is recommended to change the bulbs in pairs and keep the good old one for a spare.

Where do I find headlight relay switch on a 85 Nissan extended cab p/u

Pretty sure there is no relay for the headlights. There are two 10 amp fuses in the fuse block, one for each side headlight. The power to the fuses is directly off the black fusible link (in your fuse link box, under hood, by the battery). Then the fused wires go into the headlight switch, and with switch on, out to the head lamps.

First check if the fuses have power to them. Hot at all times, so key can be off. If they have power, fuse link is good, so possibly a bad headlight switch or dimmer switch if no headlights..

I don't have a wiring diagram but as I recall it has a fuse for each headlight 10amp, a headlight relay and it has to have a good high low beam switch to function as well as a good headlight switch. Good luck

Cant find headlight relay fuse

Your Mercury has a complex headlamp circuit but there is no headlight relay fuse. Instead, the central element is the lighting control module which receives power through numerous fuses. The battery junction box contains 40A fuse 104 and 50A fuse 103. The central junction box contains 10A fuses 26 and 8, 7.5A fuse 15, 15A fuses 23 and 1, 10A fuse 9, 15A fuse 7, and 10A fuses 21 and 19.

1986 Supra. Head lights pop up but does not turn on.

the headlight pop-up circuit is different from the lights themselves. Check the headlight fuses in the engine compartment fuse box. If the fuses are good then check the headlight relay. It is in the same fuse box just behind the headlight fuses. (The headlight relay is the second relay from the right side of the fuse box. the relay at the far right is the electronic fuel injection main relay.)

Headlight fuse 1998 firebird

The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood. You will find a black square box and it should say FUSE on top. Take the lid off and the cover should have the location of the headlamp fuse. If it is not the fuse/breaker it could be a bad dimmer switch in the column.
