Where is the clutch master cylinder in a 1996 Subaru Impreza 2ltr Sportswagon?

To remove or bleed the clutch master, you will need to first remove the battery and the air box. After, you will find the clutch pedal assembly and finally the clutch master cylinder.

Is the clutch the problem? My 1993 gmc pickup with the engine running I can shift to any gear without engaging the clutch ?it does not grind or try to move.

Sounds as if the clutch is no good or is engaged constantly. Possible clutch worn out or throwout bearing is seized on input shaft

My air conditioing compressor is cycling for about 4 seconds. is this a clutch problem or something else? compressor is almost new.

sounds like a low freon/refrigerant problem,is the lines near the evaporator core at the firewall frosting over as it cycles,if so this is a good indication of a lack of refrigerant

I replaced slave cylinder on 1996 gmc pickup know cluch slips

You may have got oil on the pressure plate or clutch. If you did not get into those parts its likely you need to adjust the pedal free play so that there's freeplay for about an inch or so of travel before the clutch disengages. Its engageing and cannot transmit power even though you have not actually depressed the pedal... its already acting thaty way. Its a mechanicalk linkage thats adjustable. If you ahve freeplay, yopu may have an oily disc or pressure platye . These really cannot be cleaned once goten oily they slip

We have a 1985 GMC 2500 pickup - we can not get the clutch to engage. What could be the problems?

Clutch could just need adjustment, or throw out bearing replacement or clutch replacement if no adjustment is left. consider the age and mileage if clutch has never been changed, would recomend it rather than throwing parts at it.
